That is a really good idea, especially since they already released Kanto and Johto remakes.

They wouldn't release remakes before making the next gen, honestly. (well, whenever Gen VI rolls around, seeing as how V's pretty much ended and the DS is pretty much defunct now :V)

I'm hoping for a remake, or a new title all together; preferably for the 3DS. It's about time Nintendo put the rest of it's effort into it's new handheld.

I would love a R/S remake.  After playing the DS games, I miss some of the better graphics.  Other then that, I have no Idea what will be next.

Well I agree with Rob, I think next year the 6th generation will appear. It has been 2 years since the 3DS came out and there isn't a Pokemon main game yet. I doubt they will remake Ruby and Sapphire before a new gen in a new console. That's my opinion. Of course the next year would be R/S remake.

hmmm I honestly want a game based on the pokemon rangers area.Also I had to say one a color or based on a materisl(,rock like) I say maybe stone most likely like opal sumthing like thatA game where it intearcts with pokemon rangers world where u like get options to be a job, like ranger professor,etc but the plot remain the smae.Also where you can change the characters clothes.

Pokemon [some color].  You are a young'un with aspirations of Pokemon mastery.  To that end, you travel along routes, tall grass, and caves, all whilst battling and befriending Pokemon and gym leaders, at the same time fighting against an evil organization using and/or abusing Pokemon for their own ends.  You'll wind up battling the champion and become Pokemon master of [new region], though it's never for anything more than bragging rights because I guess you're too young/uninterested to deal with the responsibilities that come with your spiffy new title.

 

It might be my imagination, but the possible new gen sounds a little familiar...

Your information seems a bit faulty there.... well, a few years out. Pokemon Emerald saw a 2003 release in US and EU and Fire Red/Leaf Green came out in 2004..... I somehow doubt based on this that ruby and sapphire came out 2 years after..... unless you live in a cave of course!

Fire Red / Leaf Green - no third game

Black / White - No Grey / Gray

Black 2 / White 2 - likely the same situation

 

So the remakes have no third party (i.e. Crystal and Yellow (sad times)) and the newest generation also have no third party.

 

To be honest, I LOVE pokemon, but I'm getting a bit tired of the newest shit Nintendo are pumping out year after year..... BRING ON ANOTHER REMAKE!!!!!
