What if that A PART OF XEHANORT has been lingers inside Sora all along? What i mean to say is during Sora meets the Lingering Will,the Armor mistakes him as Xehanort because the Armor FEELS the presences of Xehanort from Sora,including Ventus during after the battle as well.Do you think that Xehanort's darkness has been infected through Sora?i know that the event between Sora and the Lingering Will are like NON-CANON of the story,but i think there's more to it.What do you guys think?and Thanks for reading my Theory...

In DDD The norts were still targeting Riku as the last vessel till they realized he overcame and controlled his darkness and became unusable . Roxas was also a target  previously but was deemed unusable bc he became too aware of himself .Sora was a back up pretty much..If he was already norted this all would've been moot.

If we were to assume that Vanitas had in fact been norted, then assume that Vanitas went back to Ven after his defeat who went to Sora than we can assume that Sora has a piece of Xehanort in him by proxy.

 

But that's a lot of assumptions.  

 

Other wise no, then much of the events of 3D would be pointless.

Terra only assumed that Sora was Xehanort because he sensed the presense of the keyblade that he left to Riku in the hands of someone else. Seeing as he did not sense Riku's presense he assumed it was another trick by Xehanort.

I think he attacked Sora because he felt the Keyblade that was originally mean for Riku, but not Riku. So the next person he could remember was Xehanort. After all, he must have left a pretty strong impression after possessing Terra. So Lingering Will went all Xehanort!!! on Sora.
