Ok... I start playing KH way way ago, around the time of its intial launch; however, after KH2 my abilities to keep up with the complexity of its story have grown incredibly weak. Therefore, its seems as I can ask you guys for some insight, as far as the games go... what is the chronological order for story, story not for release date... and if there is anywhere that i can read to catch up... its really hard to play the handhelds... I do own 358/2, BBS, and Re:Coded, and will certainly buy KH3D on launch, but it really hard to play with work, college, and all the other games that I am currently playing.

 

I figure I will watch all the cutscenes that are available on KH13, and that will be a start to understanding this amazing game that I wish I understood more about

hmmm... so apparently not only are they launched out of order which is perfectly fine... they are also chopped up and what not... 358/2 is both a prequel and a sequel... *facepalm*

tutti frutti. I say that TheKingdomKid pretty much sums up the entire story chronologically from beginning to KH3D. At least for the time being unless we get some other unexpected games before KH3. But other than that this sums up when what happens in the series.

I know all the titles of Kingdom Hearts like Kingdom Hearts 1, Chain ofMemories, Kingdom Hearts II, and others. I don't know the chronologicalorder though.

The ones with FM (or Final Mix) are sorta similar to the originals so they'd still be placed where those are. The newest one,1.5, is KH1, CoM, and Days combined and made in HD, so it'd be placed where those 3 are as well.
