What if: Kingdom Hearts HD Collection "Collection"

Posted

What if after the release of inevitable second HD collection, Square decided to release both collections on ONE blu-ray disc? This has happened with God Of War, so it's not impossible. But would you buy it if they released such a thing?

Four playable games and two remastered movies.

P.S Could not think of a good thread title for the life of me.

I think it's likely to happen in the future. Not anytime soon though. And I'd buy it xD

that would be awesome but cause i wanna buy 1.5 i hope not. i'd be pissed if i had to buy it again

Would I really have a choice? It's Kingdom Hearts!

Well it'd be a shame to do that, considering many people would've already bought them singularly...

If I already had all the HD Remixes (which I will, of course), there'd be no point in buying both of them again just for the sake of them being in the same disc.

So no, wouldn't buy it unless there was some huge exclusive or bonus to go along with it.

I wouldn't bother.  If I have both HD remix's seriously see no point in buying it again just cause it's on one disc.  I'd think if you were gonna make a megacollection they may of well have released that first, least that way people stop yapping "omg where's kh2" and just continue yapping "omg wheres kh3 trantrum stomp stomp"

Now if I had a job with money to spare and they offered something like KH merchandise with it or something i'd consider it, but generally I'll be happy with my 2 remix's separate.

Maybe for the kindom hearts 25th anniversary.

I don't think one single blue ray disk can hold the information of four games and two movies it would be like what they did for the god of war saga thing and just had the two disk in one case and you download the origins collection,  but for kingdom hearts they will probably just have the two disk in one case thing, which I don't think they really need to do that but you new know

Well it is Kingdom Hearts so that automatically makes me inclined to buy it. But if I already had both HD collections I wouldn't see why I would need to buy the same exact thing on one blu-ray disc. I think it would be cool if they consolidated everything on to one though, I just don't think I would buy it if I already had to original HD collections. :P

If PS4 isn't compatible with PS3 disk, and its a PS4 title,I would get it. That's IF I get the PS4..

I'd love a big ole collection like that, but they need to focus on getting 2.5/hopefully putting BBS on consoles before that.

Square Enix wouldn't do that.

Square Enix wouldn't do that.

He's right. SQEX would not do that, but it would be amazing and probably rated a 10.25 like some other HD Collection Collection.

Square Enix wouldn't do that.

Anything is possible with this company.

Collectionception!

Wait... wait... There's a Kingdom Hearts MOVIE?!?!?!?!?!

A dual pack of KH 1.5 and 2.5? Could work.

Or maybe... a "Xehanort Saga" package, released after KH3 that featured 1.5, 2.5, 3.

You could fit Final Fantasy I-XIII-2 on a Bluray disc (they can hold 25-50 or even 100 GB). The problem is the impracticality of having that many games on one disc. That's a crapload of data for someone to tweak the wrong way, not to mention a bunch of cramped title screen menus.

Either way, I doubt they would post the HD Collections on the PSN, considering the never posted Birth by Sleep. And I'd already own both collections seperately...

If they were to release a saga collection after the release of the two HD collections, I feel like the only way to make it profitable would be to string it together as one full game to play in chronological order, (i.e. place the 358/2 days cutscenes throughout KH & CoM as they happened, used the rest of the scenes as an extended intro to KH2, possibly release whatever the idea was for BbSV2 as a long cutscene to make it feel like BbS flowed into KH, etc.)

Gotta keep in mind that most people who are interested will have already bought the collections separately, and the only way to make a reasonable amount of money off of a saga collection would be some sort of gimmick or new material being included.
