(Some minor ground rules; respect other players, never simply give yourself an unfair advantage, mix things up if you wish, and given the nature of the secrets on the island, if you wish to have an enviornment described for you by me, simply end a post with your character looking upon an envionrment or opening a door and end with a "...")

So it begins.

I have gathered them here. They know nothing yet. That will change soon. I wonder how they will take to each other. Time will tell. Regardless, no more time can be wasted. The Experiment must now begin. Time to wake them up...

"Good morning. Welcome to the next part of your life."

The voice rang out in all of their ears. Earpieces, firmly attached in the ears of all of them. Inside came the unnerving and unnaturally changed voice on the other end. One by one, after hearing the voice, each of the subjects began to wake. Lying on the shore of a short beach was Yumi Yuki Ai, Ember Mors, Luce Angelo, Hazimie Azhar, and Rasiel Kasaragi. The wind blew over them as they lay sprawled over the sand in close proximity to each other. Just as they had been placed. Next to the beach was a mix of jungle and swamp that went deeper into the mainland. Besides that the beach was mostly barren. A wrecked fishing boat was rusted and decaying within walking distance, but nothing more. The waves lapped up on the shore softly...

Miles away lay an abandoned collection of bunkers and buildings. They surrounded an airstrip. Rusted machine parts lay strewn about, and any sign of activity at the airstrip had long since faded. On the ground in the middle of the airstrip lay several more people. Ren Cabret, Neisan, Kilek North, Tsuna Sasaki, and Sikota Urinakano. Two desolate bunkers flanked the airstrip they were on, with a control tower at the end of the strip. Forest flanked the airstrip on all sides, with a single winding road leading out. The wind cut through the trees and sliced past the bunkers onto the airstrip. Only the wind and the trees provided any sound to the desolate military installation...

Deep in the jungle was a pair of rusted jeeps parked next to a crumbling house. The jeeps were long past functioning, and their engines were removed recently as well. The house sat surrounded by the trees with a single road leading somewhere further into the jungle. Inside the house were the four other subjects; Robert Evans, Karu Kasaragi, Fulmen Aizen, Xander Steel, and Locke Stern. Part of the roof of the house had caved in, and most of the belongings and furniture were gone. Remaining in the house were a few pots and pans, and single picture in an imaculate frame on a table in the room where the four people were laying. Silence pervaded the house...

On this island the Experiment is to be conducted. The island itself is only a few miles across, but its jungles, beaches, and bunkers hold long-kept secrets. These people now find themselves as part of a deadly game. They will have to get to know each other, and work together to discover what is sought from them, and in the process they must learn what they seek themselves.

The voice buzzed through their earpeices once more.

"Time to wake up. The Experiment has begun. You won't want to be asleep for this... Wake up and meet your new friends... and enemies. Wake up...

...the game has begun."

Fulmen nodded. "Yes. Electricity manipulation." Fulmen confirmed, smiling a bit even more. The person certianly seemed sincere enough, and she didn't have the evil feeling that...say, Xi had. "As for me, Xi basically told me someone was coming, and that I'd have to make friends with them real quick." Fulmen said, looking about the general area, trying to spot something out of place.

Fulmen looked to Ember, "I apologize for the ozone smell. It happens when I get stressed." Fulmen blew out a long drawn-out sigh, attempting to calm himself after two rigorous tests.

Yumi, if you're still alive...please, stay alive. I'll come find you soon.

(NOT IF I HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH IT)

Sylar appeared out of the shadows. He flicked his wrist, and Isaac was sent flying a few yards. The mysterious flaming presence who had helped Joshua was still around. "Whoever you are. Go away. I can handle this one." He spoke to the flames, walking over to Isaac. He held a blade of darkness in his hand. "No one will dessicate such a brave soul's body. I may have killed him, but I will not have his memory ruined."

(First Crow! Now this thing?!)

Isaac's own eyes were blood-red. Quite literally. The blood swelled up in his retna and iris as he slashed his own eye. "Don't you dare touch my experiment!" Isaac yelled. He turned completely black, draped in carbon fiber as he directly stabbed ahead to the shadowy figure, grabbing Joshua in his arms. "I'm NOT letting another experimentation of mine escape!" Isaac took his sharpest knife for dissecting, swiftly stabbing it directly beside Joshua's heart. "Have my blood, boy." Isaac's spewed blood turned half-liquid and half-solid, like mercury at room temperature. It quickly drained and absorbed itself into Joshua's veins and heart. "Now just more essence of life." Another person, Sylar soon appeared. "Just another one biting the dust!"

(Really, Sylar too?! Posted as I did.)

(And so the ultimate battle begins.)

The flames dissipated and the shadowy figure was exhausted. "I... I'll be back for you, and it will end swiftly."

(Seriously though, when I fully reveal this guy can he or one of his personas singlehandedly eliminate Isaac in a single burst of flame)

(Look, Isaac may be a scientist, but he doesn't die as easily as Vexen. Also, carbon fiber > flame)

Sylar had a serious face on. It was almost like he was a different person than the one who had been with Xi an hour before. "I'm afraid I will not bite the dust." He used his telekinesis and removed Joshua from Isaac's grasp. If you want him, you will have to go through me first. Another blade of darkness appeared in his other hand, and his wings flapped semiconsciously. An aura of telekinesis was around the area, not being currently used, but at the ready.

(That makes sense.)

Isaac's eyes widened. "I said: DON'T TOUCH MY EXPERIMENT!" Isaac's spinal blade shred up again, thrusting straight towards Sylar as Isaac rushed towards him at full speed and full adrenaline. He hardened his spine to carbon fiber as well, the same exact substance as the shadow ability was when it turned to a solid. "Let go...!" Isaac said. He slashed both Sylar's arms and quickly grabbed the still dead Joshua.

Pain dulled Ren's senses to almost nonexistence.  Everything seemed distant, as though at the other end of a long narrow tunnel.  The redhead barely caught the last of Xi's words that rang through the smoky surroundings: a fallen shack, with the clouds of smoke symbolizing remnants of a fire.  They reverberated through his mind, seeming to repeat themselves again and again.

But hey, at least you have Sikota back.

Sikota?  Ren tried to open his eyes against the searing pain.  One of them seemed to be glued shut, leaving him to stare around at his surroundings with only one eye.  The fire had indeed died down, much to his relief.  Kilek was unconscious several paces away; he couldn't reach him even if he wanted to.  For all Ren knew, it was possible that he'd died in the explosion.  Amidst the blur and dense smoke, Ren thought he made out Neisan's form in the near distance.  He tried to cry out, though no words sounded.

"Neisan... Sikota...  Please.  Please help me," was his faint whisper; a plea in the ominous darkness surrounding him.

An explosion rocked the shack behind Neisan. He was knocked off his feet, but his armor protected him from the heat and debris. "Ren! Kilek!" Neisan rushed through the flames, grabbed Kilek and Ren, then ran to the safety of the forest. "Oh God, Ren has some bad burns. Kilek seems to be no worse for wear, considering he was on the ground, but Ren. . . I don't want to look at him. I need to find Tsuna." Neisan set out into the woods. He found Tsuna quite by accident, when a sudden light sprung up from off to his right. "Tsuna! I finally found you! Ren has a nasty burn. The shack is destroyed." Everything came out in a rush. Then Neisan noticed a Sikota standing to one side. "Another one? Look Tsuna, lets just forget this imposter and leave."

"Listen, Neisan, I know situation back there was questionable, I left you guys to blast through Xi's tests for you. Just because there was one other, you automatically assume I'm fake too? That's just cold."

"I saw him die. You expect me to believe he can return from death!? Your crazy if you think that about me! I know what I saw, and there's no way you can get me to believe you're Sikota! You hear me?! I SAW HIM DIE!!" Neisan felt his mental walls crumbling, the floodgates of his grief opening. There was no hiding it now. He had always sworn to be strong, hide his emotions for the good of those around him. But now, there was nothing else to do. Neisan broke down and wept, wept for the friend he had made and lost so quickly.

Sikota was taken aback. "I... I don't get it. As far as I know, I didn't die." Sikota slapped his hand to his forehead. "Ugh what is this!? The hunk of metal is crying over my death! Listen, I haven't seen you guys since I left for the radio tower. Somehow you all caught up. Along the way, I apparently died. Xi must have planted something. Now chin up Neisan and act like a man!" He kicked him in the side of the head.

As the leg recoiled from kicking his head, Neisan's hand shot out and grabbed. He swung Sikota around and flung him into a tree. "Don't do that. I'll accept you in our group for now, but not as Sikota. Give me something to call you in place of that name."

Sikota decided not to respond and crashed against the tree. He slowly got to his feet. "Fine." He wiped the dirt from his face. "If me running away is going to make you resent me this much, then fine. I am who I am. But Id rather not have to face that thing on your shoulder. You can call me Strix. It's my old alias. I don't get why I need to change my name for you but fine. Now where are Ren and Kilek?"

"Lying where I left them, right under that elm. Kilek has a broken leg and Ren has a bad burn. Both are unconscious. Relieve me of half my load and carry one of them. We're continuing on. That radio tower is our next destination." The tower could just be seen through the trees, it lights ever winking on and off.

Tsuna looked over to the flashing radio tower in the distance. I wonder what Xi has in store for us, she thought and turn back to Neisan and Sikota, somewhat frowning. "Now is not the time to be arguing  We need to go get the other two now." she said and stared making her way back quickly to the area where the shack once stood.

The sound of approaching footsteps perked Ren's spirits.  Slowly he opened his eyes, and saw Tsuna quickly approaching him.  Words couldn't describe the amount of joy that coursed through him.  He tried to shift himself, but barely managed to lift himself with one arm.  The shack's debris had deeply wounded his right arm, and it seemed to have taken a toll on his head.  His right side seared with a fiery pain, yet Ren dared not inspect or think about it.

In his happiness at seeing her, the adrenalin rush reminded him of his condition.  If there was ever a moment that he'd wished a healer had decided to recruit themselves with their party, it was certainly now--Ren didn't wish to die.  In fact, the mere thought terrified him.

"Tsuna," he said softly as she came near.  "It's--good to see you.  I'm glad that you made it out alive and unharmed..." he paused, searching her expression for an answer she could possibly not provide.  "Kilek and Neisan...are they alright?"

"There's nothing there anymore, Tsuna. The missiles got to it. We might as well trek through the woods. Xi might have less in store for us that way than along the regular path." Neisan shouldered Kilek, being careful of his leg as always.

Sikota walked over to Ren and got down on one knee beside him. "Ha, you sure got beat up. I think it's time I finally returned a favor you did for me way back when." He extended his wings and laid them over Ren. He held that position for some time, his wings seemed to sparkle a little bit. Sikota stood back up and ruffled his feathers. "There." He held out his hand to Ren. "All better."

"Very well.." Xander gave Rasiel one glance and then turned towards the console

Sylar's arms hurriedly were covered with darkness, protecting him from Isaac's spinal blade. He reached out, and grabbed the blade, and snapped it. "Sorry, did I break one of your toys?" He spoke, mockingly. His telekinesis lifted Joshua way from Isaac, then propped him against a nearby tree. Then, Sylar took a darkness blade, and thrust it into the crazed scientist's stomach. "Perish." He said, twisting the blade. Then he realized he had made a horrible mistake. Isaac's bloodokinesis would come into effect, totally screwing him over.

Isaac's spine returned back within Isaac as the skin amd flesh of his back closed back up. Isaac glared at Sylar crazily, twitching the fingers of his right hand. "You'll keep taking him away." Isaac said. Isaac's blood already coursed through Joshua's veins, he just needed a sense of life and consciousness-- he was halfway there! "...I think I would like to dissect you now. With my own hands." Isaac's knives and tools fell to the ground with several clangs and thuds echoing across the room. Isaac's hand came pure black of carbon fiber-- harder than many metals, and much sharper than the blade Sylar broke. Equal substances would clash-- considering Sylar's shadow ability adapted from Joshua. Isaac quickly dashed to Sylar-- just as he was stabbed with the blade of darkness. Isaac smiled. He licked the blood off his lips and glared straight into Sylar's eyes. "If only you were Ember." He spoke. With his eyes neared right next to Sylar, he dug his carbon fiber claw into Sylar's stomach, transferring more of his blood into Sylar now. Isaac backed away as his wound closed and turned black. Isaac could control his blood from anywhere-- even past another's body.
