So it begins.

 

I have gathered them here. They know nothing yet. That will change soon. I wonder how they will take to each other. Time will tell. Regardless, no more time can be wasted. The Experiment must now begin. Time to wake them up...

 

"Good morning. Welcome to the next part of your life."

 

The voice rang out in all of their ears. Earpieces, firmly attached in the ears of all of them. Inside came the unnerving and unnaturally changed voice on the other end. One by one, after hearing the voice, each of the subjects began to wake. Lying on the shore of a short beach was Yumi Yuki Ai, Ember Mors, Luce Angelo, Hazimie Azhar, and Rasiel Kasaragi. The wind blew over them as they lay sprawled over the sand in close proximity to each other. Just as they had been placed. Next to the beach was a mix of jungle and swamp that went deeper into the mainland. Besides that the beach was mostly barren. A wrecked fishing boat was rusted and decaying within walking distance, but nothing more. The waves lapped up on the shore softly...

 

Miles away lay an abandoned collection of bunkers and buildings. They surrounded an airstrip. Rusted machine parts lay strewn about, and any sign of activity at the airstrip had long since faded. On the ground in the middle of the airstrip lay several more people. Ren Cabret, Neisan, Kilek North, Tsuna Sasaki, and Sikota Urinakano. Two desolate bunkers flanked the airstrip they were on, with a control tower at the end of the strip. Forest flanked the airstrip on all sides, with a single winding road leading out. The wind cut through the trees and sliced past the bunkers onto the airstrip. Only the wind and the trees provided any sound to the desolate military installation...

 

Deep in the jungle was a pair of rusted jeeps parked next to a crumbling house. The jeeps were long past functioning, and their engines were removed recently as well. The house sat surrounded by the trees with a single road leading somewhere further into the jungle. Inside the house were the four other subjects; Robert Evans, Karu Kasaragi, Fulmen Aizen, Xander Steel, and Locke Stern. Part of the roof of the house had caved in, and most of the belongings and furniture were gone. Remaining in the house were a few pots and pans, and single picture in an imaculate frame on a table in the room where the four people were laying. Silence pervaded the house...

 

On this island the Experiment is to be conducted. The island itself is only a few miles across, but its jungles, beaches, and bunkers hold long-kept secrets. These people now find themselves as part of a deadly game. They will have to get to know each other, and work together to discover what is sought from them, and in the process they must learn what they seek themselves.

 

The voice buzzed through their earpeices once more.

 

"Time to wake up. The Experiment has begun. You won't want to be asleep for this... Wake up and meet your new friends... and enemies. Wake up...

 

...the game has begun."

"I apologize for the delay you two." Ember and Fulmen suddenly heard Xi's voice.

 

But I wanted to make it up to you. Where Fulmen and Ember were was now a large field, the road towards the ever-closer radio tower in the center, fenced on al sides, moving away from the missile area.

 

"Fulmen, I should inform you that Yumi is just fine as of right now. As of 3 minutes from now, well maybe not, but the unexpected is what makes life exciting right? Regardless, your next challenge should be coming up to meet you in just a few moments."

 

The dirt of the part of the road in front of them cumbled away as a man was raised up onto the surface in the middle of field with Ember and Fulmen.

 

"Kijiya, meet Fulmen and Ember, Ember and Fulmen, meet Kijiya."

After a long, brisk walk through the woods and dirt paths, the radio tower grew larger and nearer.  It wasn't long before the fence around the tower was visible, and, with it, a field of three figures.  Ren grew stock-still, raising a hand to halt his companions.  Over the course of their journey they'd met several companions and, while most were friendly, the same couldn't be said for them all.  It was hard to say whether these three individuals would be friends or foes.  Ren pointed ahead, whispering urgently, "Look, over there.  There's actually other human beings near that radio tower."  As much as he wanted to jump up and greet them, the more logical side of him convinced him to stay put--at least until he'd observed them for a little while.

"And how do you intend we do that?" He asked. He pushed on the ground, several large roots grew out of the ground and smashed against the walls. He pushed, trying to break through. Nothing. "I can't keep these things going strong, they're overheating."

Yumi sighed."The bolts! With we can weaken them we could still get out..or would you rather melt. I have water on my side,but that's not going to work very well.." She sighed. (Sorry/shot/shot)

Neisan stopped as Ren raised his hand. There were other people in the clearing at the base of the radio tower. Neisan quickly set his armor to stealth, deadening the noise of its servos and increasing mobility. He crouched down behind the brush at the clearing's edge. He understood Ren's suspicion of the people, as he had the same suspicion of the Sikota in their group. He watched the people intently.

"Wait wha-" Tsuna started to say but then she saw what Ren was talking about. There was other people by the radio tower. Do those people work for Xi, she thought and hid with the others, keeping her guard up for anything that may happen 

Lira stumbled back a bit from her torn collarbone. She changed the features so that her wound went back normal. The pain stayed, though. Lira winced in her pain. "Grr... Rasiel... you would slash at a defenseless eleven year old so quickly...! I thought he was your friend! You...heartless witch! That's all you are!!" She yelled. She didn't answer Rasiel's question and transformed again. "Just stay put." She said. She grabbed her sword and grew into a taller woman again, same as just a few minutes ago, actually. "Listen to your mother, Rasiel." Lira said, grabbing and swinging the sword.

'A...heartless witch? Is that who I really am? Joshua...what have I done...Joshua...Karu...mom...what have I done?!!' Rasiel thoughts, trapped in her sad, parallelizing thoughts. 

A sharp pain in her left side caused by Lira's sword stopped her immediately throwing her back rather far from Lira and the rest. Rasiel's voice shook as she held the cut in her side, causing her burning, terrible pain. This was her first time ever being hurt in this game. Her first time actually experiencing extreme pain. She looked at the blood on her hands, a smile creeping across her face as tears started falling from her eyes again. 

"Kasaragi blood...Kasaragi blood...hehe!" she laughed, staring at the red liquid. 

Rasiel would let herself die now just because of Karu's death. The burning returned, Rasiel hissing in pain, forced to turn back into her human form. That was almost a worse form for her now. However she just lost her energy to change back into the demon form.

"Rasiel!" Humm shouted. His hair rose, his wings flared. His head slowly rose from looking at the ground. Powerful winds were swirling around him. "You... monster. You sick monster. You keep transforming and toying with our emotions. But guess what? I'm a clone. A failed clone. I've decided... THAT I DON'T HAVE EMOTION!" The winds circled around him and a vacuum-wall sphere. "Galeforce Bombardment!" The winds rotating around him shot  at Lira like infinite bullets.

The smell of ozone was clear again. Xi's words had clearly ticked off Fulmen; and as such his emotions rose as the ozone did. Before him was someone named 'Kijiya', and Fulmen got the feeling this person wasn't exactly...'nice'.

"Ember?" Fulmen asked, looking to her, "Got any ideas, besides rushing in to fight?"

 

(And again, all the awesome, dramatic stuff is happening elsewhere. ;~; )

Lira took the bombardment straight-on, regenerating herself with her appearance alternation meanwhile. When the bombardment ended, Lira was shot to the flesh, her blood boiling and steaming into the air. Only some blood, though. She clearly looked pissed. "That's it. I'm gonna show you something extraordinary as you die. Consider it an honor!" Lira spoke with a monstrous echo. The sword dropped to the ground beside her, her hands and feet turning into pure dark gray claws. Her torso came to that like an animal's, except gray and huge. She grew and grew, from her humanoid form into a more bestial shape. Her jaws stretched like that of a shepard dog's, and she grew an extremely large tail like a komodo dragon's. Her claws were black and sharp, huge, while her entire body was a decayed human-like gray, and her eyes a snake-like purple-green. She was at least the size of Godzilla at this point, with her hands in the air smashing down to the ground while going onto all four's. She impacted the ground with a shockwave of cement and dirt, as well as grass and flowers flying about for a few moments. With her abnormally humongous size and bestial form, she.cackled with a monstrous voice. Lastly, torso's, arms, and heads emerged from Lira's sides and torso. They were all humanoid, yelling, screaming, and crying to get out, they were all of Lira's impersonations, ever since she existed. People she tormented, and people from their memories. Even Joshua, Karu, and others were there, crying and screaming to the group.

"Kill me now!" "I don't want to live anymore...." "Give me back my life!!" "I don't want to die..." "Help me!" "Give me back my daughter and son...." "Rasiel..." "Someone, help..." "It's your father, Rasiel...!" "Can't I just die now?" "Play with me...!" "It's me, Xander! Remember me?" All the voices of so many people echoed in melancholy, even in their voices.

Lora cackled again, speaking in a deep voice. "Try to kill me in this form! You wont take me lightly."

"Tell that to the puppet! Galeforce Bombardment! Part Two!" Humm, retaining the sphere of wind, plowed into Lira cutting into her as much as he could with the razor sharp vacuum wind. But was it enough? Was the imperfect clone able to stop an abomination? He would have to hope so... but was he able to hope? Was it physically possible for him? It mattered not. He had to end it.

Sylar looked around. He couldn't feel Isaac in the building anymore. "Guess I buried him." He muttered. He stepped back into shadows and disappeared.

Ember glared at the guy. Kijiya. Fulmen said something about a plan. "Not really. He isn't giving me any clues about his ability. But he doesn't seem nice." Ember said, trying to read the guys body language. She conjured her bowstaff and a whip. Hopefully this guy would be a bit easier to beat up than Isaac. And not as psychotic. Ember cracked her whip. "On three I say we attack. Hopefully he really does want to kill us."

Lira ignored the galeforce thing as it was only big enough to hit a few of the people that appeared to be sticking out of her. They cried more furiously and bled, cursing at Humm and yelling loudly. Lira only took a split second to regenerate, and smashed her claw from.the ground it stood on, before almost instantly crashing into Humm. She also smacked her tail, hitting Robert straight into Xander.

 

Isaac was a bloody mess soon. Joshua was breathing, but could hardly move at this point. His clothes were bloody, and Isaac had used some of his own skin to seal Joshua's. Isaac grinned. "He's back. However, he seems to lack ruthlessness and carelessness. I suppose he'll require a bit of mental...reprogramming. No matter...." Isaac grinned again. "R-Rasiel...?" Joshua muttered aloud, with barely enough breath. "Sylar...?"

The voices...so much reminded them of her family...Karu and Joshua.

"Karu..." she mummered, looking at Lira for a split second before switching her head back over towards the wall. The pain from the gash in her side met her again, Rasiel baring her teeth now to stop her from screaming in pain. The voices echoed again and Rasiel broke out violently in tears.

"No! Go away!" she yelled, grabbing her knees to hide hear face.

Rasiel sat there, almost like a child in a room alone who was rather scared.

"Xander...kill her...please Xander! Kill her!" Rasiel yelled through telepathy.

Robert, a little dazed from being sent flying into Xander, looked back at the freak of nature that Lira had become, and picked himself up from the ground. He whispered to Xander, "Xander, I want you to use your  powers to send me flying at this thing's head. Don't ask any questions, just trust me and do it."

(Actually, someone else has been destined to end Lira. And it's not HIM, for once.)

 

Robert began whispering to Xander, quite noticeably to see but not to hear. Then again, Lira had much better hearing and seeing now, though. She lifted her tail and smashed it down to the two as she crawled herself to Rasiel, picking her up with her claws. She threw her onto Lora's back. If she fell, the impact would be fatal. Out of Lira, though, beside Rasiel came an infestation of Karu, except completely gray and decayed.
