So it begins.

 

I have gathered them here. They know nothing yet. That will change soon. I wonder how they will take to each other. Time will tell. Regardless, no more time can be wasted. The Experiment must now begin. Time to wake them up...

 

"Good morning. Welcome to the next part of your life."

 

The voice rang out in all of their ears. Earpieces, firmly attached in the ears of all of them. Inside came the unnerving and unnaturally changed voice on the other end. One by one, after hearing the voice, each of the subjects began to wake. Lying on the shore of a short beach was Yumi Yuki Ai, Ember Mors, Luce Angelo, Hazimie Azhar, and Rasiel Kasaragi. The wind blew over them as they lay sprawled over the sand in close proximity to each other. Just as they had been placed. Next to the beach was a mix of jungle and swamp that went deeper into the mainland. Besides that the beach was mostly barren. A wrecked fishing boat was rusted and decaying within walking distance, but nothing more. The waves lapped up on the shore softly...

 

Miles away lay an abandoned collection of bunkers and buildings. They surrounded an airstrip. Rusted machine parts lay strewn about, and any sign of activity at the airstrip had long since faded. On the ground in the middle of the airstrip lay several more people. Ren Cabret, Neisan, Kilek North, Tsuna Sasaki, and Sikota Urinakano. Two desolate bunkers flanked the airstrip they were on, with a control tower at the end of the strip. Forest flanked the airstrip on all sides, with a single winding road leading out. The wind cut through the trees and sliced past the bunkers onto the airstrip. Only the wind and the trees provided any sound to the desolate military installation...

 

Deep in the jungle was a pair of rusted jeeps parked next to a crumbling house. The jeeps were long past functioning, and their engines were removed recently as well. The house sat surrounded by the trees with a single road leading somewhere further into the jungle. Inside the house were the four other subjects; Robert Evans, Karu Kasaragi, Fulmen Aizen, Xander Steel, and Locke Stern. Part of the roof of the house had caved in, and most of the belongings and furniture were gone. Remaining in the house were a few pots and pans, and single picture in an imaculate frame on a table in the room where the four people were laying. Silence pervaded the house...

 

On this island the Experiment is to be conducted. The island itself is only a few miles across, but its jungles, beaches, and bunkers hold long-kept secrets. These people now find themselves as part of a deadly game. They will have to get to know each other, and work together to discover what is sought from them, and in the process they must learn what they seek themselves.

 

The voice buzzed through their earpeices once more.

 

"Time to wake up. The Experiment has begun. You won't want to be asleep for this... Wake up and meet your new friends... and enemies. Wake up...

 

...the game has begun."

"Are any of us human?" That was Neisan's response to Ren's unspoken thought. He knew it was what Ren was thinking, as it was what had been nagging Neisan in the back of his mind ever since he got here. "I think we should hear each person's piece before we do anything. You start." He pointed to Fulmen.

Of course we're human, Ren thought irritably, what a stupid question.  And yet, the question nagged at him like a bothersome flea.  Ren had always thought himself as human, only an exceptionally gifted one.  But...could Neisan be right?  WAS he human?

 

Not wishing to linger on the thought any longer, Ren shook his head, focusing his attention back on the three battling individuals.  "Yes, I agree that we should hear everyone's side of the story.  And no one"--he shot a fiery glance in Kijiya's direction--"is permitted to interrupt."

Tsuna stood up and had a confused look on her face. Ren managed to stop a fight between these three strangers. That's a good question, she thought, we can't be humans...can we? It's not like everyone can just start a fire with her bare hands...Tsuna's thoughts were interrupted when Ren started speaking again and she took a good look at the three that were just battling 

Isaac set Joshua down on the floor for once. Joshua stood, but flimsily and woozily. Isaac stepped ahead to the dragon alone. "I'll get you some food, kid." Isaac said nonchalantly to Joshua as Humm transformed. Joshua slumped against the wall and sat down, simply watching. Isaac cracked each and every one of his bones, looking up at the previous birdboy who became a full-fledged dragon. He motioned his fingers, taunting Humm. "Come on. Try me." He said bluntly.

"Hm?" Rasiel looked at Isaac, then Humm.

There was something wrong. Managing to hear Isaac's statement to Joshua with her heightened senses in this form.

"Xander...something's wrong...I know I told Humm to protect me...but I want my servant to stop...so if you would...tell him through telepathy to stop. I'm a pathetic wounded stuffed rabbit who isn't supposed to move or fight." Rasiel said the last part rather annoyed like.

She wasn't going to let Xander boss her around, nor was she going to let yet another person get killed.

The water began to push down on the bio-dome that Simon had formed. The group had to choose fast...

"Wait...you're really just going to let Kijiya stand there? He's an insane henchman of Xi's, and he was hell-bent on killing Ember and I." Fulmen exclaimed, suprised that the people before him were acting so ignorantly. "As for me, we're all human. Sure, we're different, but we still all have the same genetic codes that any ordinary person does. We aren't monsters. We aren't demons. We're human." Fulmen said, getting a bit angrier by the second -and thus the ozone grew with it-, but he let it go. 

 

"You want my side as to what happened, correct?"

"The pressures rising!" Simon exclaimed. His botanical protection was fading fast. "Mist quick!" He told Yumi. "Give me the signal and I'll take down my wall before the water does it for us."

"And you were hell-bent on killing him." Neisan looked at the three. "We were watching the battle progress for some time, but we couldn't hear anything, so we don't know what words you exchanged prior to combat. We don't truly know if Kijiya is a pawn of Xi's or not. I think this one (points at Sikota) might be a pawn, and yet here he is, traveling with us, because we don't have any proof." He got an intense look. "Prove to me Kijiya is a pawn."

Fulmen sighed, his heart racing. If he screwed up, he'd certainly be killed, and then Kijiya would certainly exterminate everyone else.

"I have no idea if he is truly working for Xi, but when Ember and I arrived in this area, he too arrived and Xi introduced him to us. From there, we fought." Fulmen explained, "Though I have no intention of killing. I assure you that I am not the type to kill..not after the things I've been put through."

Yumi smiled."Just go for it." She said.

"I do my best work under pressure." She laughed.

"Sorry for the joke,just go ahead." She said.

Ember slapped off Neisan, and walked a few steps away from him. It wasn't like she didn't like the guy, but she did not prefer getting carried by anyone, especially by surprise like that. A little frustrated, Ember crossed her arms and listened to the conversation. As it became her turn, she began to speak. "Fulmen and I were walking. Kijiya appears from the ground. Xi says 'Meet each other, Kijiya, beat the crap out of them.' Then Kijiya asked us what the purpose of life was, and then he decided to kill us. The end." Ember finished her tale of woe, being sarcastic throughout. "And on the human thing, yes we are human. My sister did some research into the topic and found that we do not use our brain to our full capacity. There is a good chance that we received a rare evolution from some ancestors that allow us to use an extra fewpercent of our brain, allowing for our powers. Once again, the end." Ember continued, trying to give the best answer she knew. Really, that was Lupus's ballpark, but she had heard enough of her sister's ramblings to gain that information.

Lupus tapped her foot. "Both of you, stop stalling, and do it. Right now, flower boy, take down the wall, and water girl, do what you need to so we can get out of this mess."she said, trying to get them to hurry up and just dissolve the water.

Sylar was flying around the island, scanning for trouble. He came across Him, bound in chains and struggling to get out. Sylar perched right next to him and looked out over the island.

"That's right. So just stay put for a while.. please" He said to Rasiel

 

{Hold up there, Spyro..} Xander sent telepathically to Humm {Orders from the master. She wants you to back down} Xander walked up next to him, putting his hand on.the dragon {Thanks for saving us again. Nice form by the way} He patted him then turned to Isaac

 

He spoke up "Can't we just talk this over a little??" He slighty lifted his arms, his palms facing upward

 

His gaze moved slowly to Joshua, it stayed there for a few moments

 

{Joshua.. do you know who I am??}.He had tried to establish a link with Joshua. He wasn't sure if it would work, but he tried {Don't you remember.. who you are??}

Isaac simply scoffed at Xander. His focus was towards the dragon apparently. Well, an abomination roamed about a few minutes ago, so it was no.big deal. Joshua's mind was active, but slow and steady. He was able to catch Xander's link. "......Xan..der...." Joshua sent the message slowly to Xander. He still had a mostly zombified look, but had his sincere mentality within him...deeper. His sense to follow Isaac was much stronger though, after all, Isaac was the first thing seen and heard by Joshua when he was revived. "I know...I'm...Joshua...." he sent to Xander again. "You should just leave...with Rasiel...and the others."

"Time's up." A whisper went through Xander's ear. Soon a knife came down to his lower neck. Blood spewed slowly...but it was a large enough wound to allow plently of bloodspill. "I'll dissect you later. I should dissect a dragon though— before it's species goes extinct."

"My my.....you guys finished chatting!?"Kijiya said as he then absorb the Bazooka that was around the area after he replacing it with the Machine Gun."Better dodge this one,cuz i will LITERALLY KILLED YOU ALL BY IGNORING ME!!"Kijiya said as he began crazy because of the people ignoring him and prepare to fire the Bazooka at them...

"Ngh!!!!" Xander grimaced intensely as the blade sliced into his neck. He immediately spun around, grabbing hold of Isaac's knife with his telekinesis, and jumping back away from Isaac

 

[Crap!! I was so distracted with Joshua that I let my guard too far down..] He cluched the back of his neck, trying to use his power in any way to stop the bleeding [This wound is bleeding too much.. I won't last long now]

 

{Humm.. We gotta destroy this place.. and Joshua's body}

 

He shot a quick glance at Joshua {I'm sorry, Joshua. We won't let this guy defile you anymore. } He sent sadly

 

He turned back to Isaac. "Rgh..!!"

 

[This pain..] He thought, wincing

 

He tightened the grip of his telekinesis on the blade, cracking it

Humm craned his neck and fired a burst if the highest of pressure wind blasting a hole in the ceiling up to the surface, a hit air current remained. "Go!" He demanded. He snapped his jaws at Isaac.

Simon pulled down the dome, hoping Yumi was ready to do her thing.

Sikota appeared in front of Hazimie and smacked his bazooka out of the way and plunged his hand through flesh and into his stomach. "Let's get down to business."

The shadowy figure smirked. Even in broad daylight, he was still a maroon silhouette. "Surprising that you noticed me." He said. "Be lucky I'm still trapped. If I were free I'd make you pay for what you've done here.

Neisan leaped back several yards. His weapons came to in front of him, and his mega laser folded over his shoulder. "If you want to settle things this way, I'm more than happy to oblige." He glanced at Fulmen and Ember. "I think I believe you now."

Sikota appeared in front of Hazimie and smacked his bazooka out of the way and plunged his hand through flesh and into his stomach. "Let's get down to business."

"My my.....they just came out one after another..."Kijiya said as he said casually when Sikota lunged his hand into his stomach."Time to sent the Knuckles!"Kijiya said as he then pushed Sikota's hand out of his stomach with the help of the Knuckles that Kijiya had absorbed thanks to Ember and it has been appeared for the right time."Congrats....for surviving on these 2 rounds,now the question is.....can you survive the THIRD ONE?"Kijiya said as he laughing with crazy maniac as his body suddenly feel with green,powerful aura around him that make the area including the people tremble before him and thus,creating a powerful earthquake...
