(Some minor ground rules; respect other players, never simply give yourself an unfair advantage, mix things up if you wish, and given the nature of the secrets on the island, if you wish to have an enviornment described for you by me, simply end a post with your character looking upon an envionrment or opening a door and end with a "...")

So it begins.

I have gathered them here. They know nothing yet. That will change soon. I wonder how they will take to each other. Time will tell. Regardless, no more time can be wasted. The Experiment must now begin. Time to wake them up...

"Good morning. Welcome to the next part of your life."

The voice rang out in all of their ears. Earpieces, firmly attached in the ears of all of them. Inside came the unnerving and unnaturally changed voice on the other end. One by one, after hearing the voice, each of the subjects began to wake. Lying on the shore of a short beach was Yumi Yuki Ai, Ember Mors, Luce Angelo, Hazimie Azhar, and Rasiel Kasaragi. The wind blew over them as they lay sprawled over the sand in close proximity to each other. Just as they had been placed. Next to the beach was a mix of jungle and swamp that went deeper into the mainland. Besides that the beach was mostly barren. A wrecked fishing boat was rusted and decaying within walking distance, but nothing more. The waves lapped up on the shore softly...

Miles away lay an abandoned collection of bunkers and buildings. They surrounded an airstrip. Rusted machine parts lay strewn about, and any sign of activity at the airstrip had long since faded. On the ground in the middle of the airstrip lay several more people. Ren Cabret, Neisan, Kilek North, Tsuna Sasaki, and Sikota Urinakano. Two desolate bunkers flanked the airstrip they were on, with a control tower at the end of the strip. Forest flanked the airstrip on all sides, with a single winding road leading out. The wind cut through the trees and sliced past the bunkers onto the airstrip. Only the wind and the trees provided any sound to the desolate military installation...

Deep in the jungle was a pair of rusted jeeps parked next to a crumbling house. The jeeps were long past functioning, and their engines were removed recently as well. The house sat surrounded by the trees with a single road leading somewhere further into the jungle. Inside the house were the four other subjects; Robert Evans, Karu Kasaragi, Fulmen Aizen, Xander Steel, and Locke Stern. Part of the roof of the house had caved in, and most of the belongings and furniture were gone. Remaining in the house were a few pots and pans, and single picture in an imaculate frame on a table in the room where the four people were laying. Silence pervaded the house...

On this island the Experiment is to be conducted. The island itself is only a few miles across, but its jungles, beaches, and bunkers hold long-kept secrets. These people now find themselves as part of a deadly game. They will have to get to know each other, and work together to discover what is sought from them, and in the process they must learn what they seek themselves.

The voice buzzed through their earpeices once more.

"Time to wake up. The Experiment has begun. You won't want to be asleep for this... Wake up and meet your new friends... and enemies. Wake up...

...the game has begun."

(Oh dear, Sikota; now you've got me worried, haha!  And thanks, MDS!  Now I'm going to have some fun. :D)

Ren felt helpless as he flew through the air, spiraling downward until he felt strong arms catch him and hold him steady.  It didn't even take his words for Ren to realized who it was.  Regathering his wind, Ren pulled himself from Sikota and hovered only a foot away from him.  His gaze surveyed his friend somberly; a man crazed with power whom he scarcely recognized.

"Sikota. . . " Ren faltered, his words dying in his throat.  "Please, we're friends, remember?  There is no need for violence.  I remember I started out arrogant, I started out thinking deaths and violence were the only way, but. . ."--his gaze flickered to the ground, then back up to Sikota--"it was you that changed my mind.  You showed me friendship.  I had no friends before we'd met, you know that?  You've no idea how devastated I was when you died, and I told myself--right then and there--that I would change.  I would help people the way you sacrificed yourself for Tsuna.  I wanted to be your legacy."

Hesitantly, Ren extended a gloved hand to Sikota, his eyes imploring.  "Please, let us not settle this with blood.  Whatever happened, whatever you think you're about to gain, let it all go.  Friendship is more important, and we're going to need each other more than anything if we ever want to get off this accursed island."

Sikota rolled his eyes. "Perhaps you are the one that should give up, Ren, Xi showed me the good side to this place, back home, I was truly obsessed with gaining all the strength I could. My friends payed the price for it. That's how I ended up like this," he weakly flapped his wings, "a part of me doesn't want to lose any more friends. I've gone down a path that I can't diverge from." He extended a hand toward Ren. "Maybe you could join me?"

"Danm it..." Rasiel hissed, gaining her ballance in the air again.

'I didn't even budge him! I might have to go all out...however...this is a tight situation....' she thought, looking down at Sikota and Ren.

Rasiel reached into Karu's jacket pocket, taking out her rabbit stuffed animal given to her by him as she decended to the ground. Once Rasiel landed, she reached to the back of her neck, clipping the collar off of her neck and placing it around the stuffed rabbit's neck.

"Xander, I'm doing a temporary reincarnation spell to help me out..." she said through telepathy.

This reincarnation spell would last 20 minutes.

Rasiel's blade faded as she placed her hand on her stuffed rabbit. After darkness surrounded it for a while, the stuffed rabbit caught on fire, then that fire burning into a blueish smoke, and someone that looked exactly like Karu appeared from Rasiel's spell. However, this Karu's eyes were almost a grey-blue because of the fakeness in him, and Rasiel's collar stained navy around his neck.

"Karu2, lets go. Attack the one with brown hair and wings, on my command." Rasiel said, fgrabbing her clone and flying up.

Rasiel carefully construct white wings about her size from her demonic darkness, them taking place on Karu2's back.

(KARU CLONE! KARU2!)

"Ren! don´t fell on that! Locke said as he entered the place, looking at the dark intentions of Sikota, after saying this he drew a sword, appearing it on his hand. Even with his training, the max time limit were 10 minutes... and he only has 5 pages left... ("Please.... hope this won´t take long") he though as he get on guard in front of Sikota.

"Ally or not... we can´t affort to lose anyone"

(Daniel -- just to clarify, the sword Locke drew was for Locke and not Ren, right?)

If Ren's heart hadn't been pounding furiously in his chest, he would've assumed that Sikota's words had caused it to halt.  The redhead gazed stony-eyed at Sikota as he spoke, watching intently as his friend extended a hand towards him.  Confused and despaired, Ren shook his head frantically.  "Wait, I don't understand; are you saying that you want to stay here?!  But. . . why?  Don't you have anything to go home to?"

And yet, the more Ren thought about it, the very question ran through his own mind: did even he have anything to go back to?  After all, he was an outcast back home.  No one liked him, he had no friends.  Only his mother, but surely she'd learned to move on after he came to the island.  Perhaps Xi had even killed her.  What was there truly that Ren was trying to hard to fight to return to?

And, the darker, more disturbing question that surfaced in his mind: could something greater await him here?  Had Sikota found it?

Locke's pleas broke into Ren's thoughts; he glanced over, though didn't linger on his new friend for long.  His mind was his own, and he wouldn't let anyone cloud it.

"Give me a reason," Ren said, his voice barely more than a whisper, "any reason why I should stay here.  I will not harm my friends, but I might see your point and stand by your side.  I refuse, and I mean refuse, to injure these innocents."

"Screw it, I don't messing with you. You're too... fragile." He appeared behind him and struck him in the center of his back, GV25. "Too... heroic." He brought his fist down, crushing his shoulder. He turned to Locke. "And what about you?" He asked. "Do you think you could last any amount of time against someone like me." He appeared before him, his sword pinched between his fingers. He squeezed, it snapped. "Well?"

(Daniel -- just to clarify, the sword Locke drew was for Locke and not Ren, right?)

(Yes. It was for Locke. Now thinking on it you could have asked me for one... O.o)

"Karu2, just attack him. He broke Locke's sword....and Locke IS my friend..." Rasiel commanded.

Karu2 gave an emotionless nod, forming three technology-spheres (I just gave his weapons a name) in his hands.

Karu2 threw all three of them towards Sikota, them all three bursting with eletricity. One actually hit his side, and the two landed near Sikota, one of them catching fire and the other dying out. Rasiel laughed when the one hit Sikota.

"Idiot..." she mumbled, her laughing stopped.

"HEY! I DID have a question..." Rasiel complaint, flying a bit further into the air, weilding her darkness blade.

(Thanks for clarifying, Daniel!  I just wanted to make sure, since MDS and I were just discussing Ren acquiring a wing-bladed sword.  I think I've figured out how it's going to materialize, though.)

Words couldn't describe the shock and horror that coursed through Ren's body as he was suddenly hit with Sikota's might.  Shocked and pained, Ren's wind died almost as abruptly as it had picked up, causing the redhead to soar to the ground and collapse not far from Locke's feet.  His shoulder howled in pain, yet there was nothing he could do about it; he'd never felt so helpless with wind being his only ability.  "Sikota. . . "  Ren closed his eyes, the tears that'd formed beading on his eyelashes before running down his dirt-stained cheek.  "You're wrong--and I'm sorry I'm not the one able to show you that."

Lupus had been thrown up, then back down. She landed, and it hurt like hell. But she pushed herself up, and looked towards Sikota. "Why doesn't anyone die from poison anymore?" She complained to herself, walking back to the airstrip. Ember stood there, tapping her foot.

"Have a plan sis?" Ember asked, and Lupus waved it off.

"Of course. I'm assuming you have a big combo in you? If we do a combo attack together, we'll be drained, but enough damage will be done." Lupus said, formulating a plan.

"Sounds good." Ember said. They split up, Ember behind and Lupus in front of PR. Ember dashed forward, and jumped on his winged back, and flipped backwards, using a solid weight as leverage, throwing him into the air. Lupus followed by flying up above him with wings, then gained the weight of a blue whale, squshing Sikota.

The plasma charges veered around Ren and the vacuum shield, only to circle around again to give it another try. Neisan looked on as Sikota spoke to Ren, then decided to act while Sikota was distracted. He flew down and around, landing on the airstrip. His forearm weapons flipped open, then split into several barrels which spread around his arm, forming a Gattling gun-type weapon. His plasma charge launchers appeared, and two laser beam arrays came out of his upper arms. In effect, Neisan had become a walking gun turret. He waited for Sikota to pick himself up, assuming he could even do so.

A small section of the ground next to the battle suddenly rose up. It revealed the last surprise of the battle. Dealing with replicas was cumbersome business, and Xi's ideas to work with Sikota were interesting to say the least. But he did attempt it with one other participant, and there was no other time than now to put every card on the table. On the platform was, or at least seemed to be...

(Sorry, Mystics, took me a while to get to a computer where I could type things up properly)

Down below, a chain snapped. "He hasn't realized yet?" The shadowy figure asked himself. He released some of his newly recovered energy. On the other side of the fallen radio tower, where the rotting corpse of Sikota remained, a spark ignited and the body burned away. Fire appeared in Ren's hand and from it sprouted it a sword. A bronze sword with a blade seemingly made up of... brown feathers. "Listen here, Ren." The shadowy figure's voice communicated through his mind. "Take this Wingblade and preserve your true friend's memory. Fight for him. Fight with him! Destroy this fake!" The maroon energy that had made the shadowy figure a silhouette began to chip off. Skin was shown, his features were slowly being revealed as he approached freedom ever so closely.

(Trolling at it's best.)

The Sikota fake had somehow avoided attacks from three different sources at once. Neisan gritted his teeth, took aim, and let all hell break loose from his suit. A hail of tiny missiles, plasma bolts, and heat lasers erupted from various weapons and crossed the distance between Neisan and the imposter. Then the mega laser folded over his shoulder for the second time. It shrieked as it fired, sending a white-hot lightning bolt of energy to follow the rain of death let loose by the thunderhead that was Neisan's suit.

(Okay, Sodom Is On Mobile A Lot Too)

(Awesome; thanks, Sikota.  That was perfect!)

At first Ren thought the voice in his head was a mere hallucination spawned from the pain in his shoulder.  After all, Sikota was the main topic on his mind; it would've made perfect sense if that was what his thoughts were comprised of.  It wasn't until the pain ebbed away and his mind cleared that he noticed the sword's hilt resting in his outstretched palm: a sword made of pure bronze, and, strangely. . . brown feathers.  Ren's fingers tightened around the blade, and up he sat.  "Sikota. . .  I think I understand now," he said, more to himself than anyone.  "You've always helped, always been there, and yet I was too blind to see it.  You wouldn't ever turn against your friends; I should've seen it sooner.  Forgive me for ever doubting you."

The redhead rose tall, his eyes set on Sikota's imposter.  His brow furrowed as he readied his sword to dive straight into Sikota.  "And now, I will fight. . .for what's right!!!"  With speed Ren never recalled himself having, he charged at the PR Sikota full-force, blade aimed straight for his heart.  If the PR had suspected him coming, he certainly hadn't shown it.
