So it begins.

 

I have gathered them here. They know nothing yet. That will change soon. I wonder how they will take to each other. Time will tell. Regardless, no more time can be wasted. The Experiment must now begin. Time to wake them up...

 

"Good morning. Welcome to the next part of your life."

 

The voice rang out in all of their ears. Earpieces, firmly attached in the ears of all of them. Inside came the unnerving and unnaturally changed voice on the other end. One by one, after hearing the voice, each of the subjects began to wake. Lying on the shore of a short beach was Yumi Yuki Ai, Ember Mors, Luce Angelo, Hazimie Azhar, and Rasiel Kasaragi. The wind blew over them as they lay sprawled over the sand in close proximity to each other. Just as they had been placed. Next to the beach was a mix of jungle and swamp that went deeper into the mainland. Besides that the beach was mostly barren. A wrecked fishing boat was rusted and decaying within walking distance, but nothing more. The waves lapped up on the shore softly...

 

Miles away lay an abandoned collection of bunkers and buildings. They surrounded an airstrip. Rusted machine parts lay strewn about, and any sign of activity at the airstrip had long since faded. On the ground in the middle of the airstrip lay several more people. Ren Cabret, Neisan, Kilek North, Tsuna Sasaki, and Sikota Urinakano. Two desolate bunkers flanked the airstrip they were on, with a control tower at the end of the strip. Forest flanked the airstrip on all sides, with a single winding road leading out. The wind cut through the trees and sliced past the bunkers onto the airstrip. Only the wind and the trees provided any sound to the desolate military installation...

 

Deep in the jungle was a pair of rusted jeeps parked next to a crumbling house. The jeeps were long past functioning, and their engines were removed recently as well. The house sat surrounded by the trees with a single road leading somewhere further into the jungle. Inside the house were the four other subjects; Robert Evans, Karu Kasaragi, Fulmen Aizen, Xander Steel, and Locke Stern. Part of the roof of the house had caved in, and most of the belongings and furniture were gone. Remaining in the house were a few pots and pans, and single picture in an imaculate frame on a table in the room where the four people were laying. Silence pervaded the house...

 

On this island the Experiment is to be conducted. The island itself is only a few miles across, but its jungles, beaches, and bunkers hold long-kept secrets. These people now find themselves as part of a deadly game. They will have to get to know each other, and work together to discover what is sought from them, and in the process they must learn what they seek themselves.

 

The voice buzzed through their earpeices once more.

 

"Time to wake up. The Experiment has begun. You won't want to be asleep for this... Wake up and meet your new friends... and enemies. Wake up...

 

...the game has begun."

Hey MDS! Good to see you're alive. I feel like we need one of your rps to rejuvenate the atmosphere, but it just wouldn't be the same withou Neko and Schemer around. And I don't know Sikota's status on RPing as of this moment. In any case, feel free to hang around! Join in some role plays (Tirain and Decolor are both wonderful KH ones, and I have a historical one on the way). Maybe some of your skill will rub off on us!

You guys do what you will. I'll restart Corridors when I'm ready for public roleplaying again. For now I need to focus on Neko.

Looks like I have to prepare my villany appearance when that time comes...

I'll definitely check out the RP section in a bit as see what's looking good. In any case, it's good to hear most of you are doing well. Hopefully Neko and Schemer are alright as well even with their absence, and good luck with your time off Sikota, I hope it works out well! As far as RPs in the future I'll keep any new posted here in case any of you want to join whenever they come around.

Look, Neko, I'm sorry. It's your decision whether or not to forgive me, and you're decision to let me be your friend, but I do think you and I should bury the hatchet for a few months so we can get the gang back together for MDS's roleplay.

You guys bury the hatchet and I will vaporize that section of earth so the hatchet is a million particles. And I might start some RPs if you guys bury it.

It'll be a little bit before anything starts going full speed, for now I hope things can get better between you two, and for what it's worth both of you are excellent RPers and awesome people, hope you both end up happy regardless of what happens.

The concept I had been toying with for a while was actually more fantasy, but in recent months I started to juggle it with a more sci-fi concept so for the moment I'm not entirely sure what will end up being the specifics in setting of the RP. As for your character, is it more near-future sci-fi or like space-age far future sci fi, or something that could work with either?

Space-age, although it is so far space-age that it could be done with magic.

Intrigue me with the concept of the RP, and you all can feel the wrath of my villainy once more.

Not to mention NeverBetter and the others who were in on E&A... If we get all of those people and all of these people in one RP and everybody is very good about posting then we will craft a magnificent story.

I'd actually like to offer a suggestion to make posting work more smoothly.

 

Say, MDS, what if there was a specific order everyone had to follow? Like, you could only post when it was your turn. It'd make things slower, but a heck of a lot cleaner.

 

Say the two with the same name and I were roleplaying: Yuffie posts, NeverBetter posts, neither of them can post until I post. 

 

If someone's inactive, you can go all RP god on us and eliminate them or something

Erhem. MDS is steaming up another roleplay, and we're all getting more excited than we should be OwO

Posting order has never worked out in rps... I prefer the GM way. Like MDS has to wait for everybody to post once and then he posts, which allows for everyone to post again. If someone doesn't post within two-three days then we move on ahead. That's how most riku rps (and Amnesia...) work, and it seems to be the most effective technique of slowing thins down.

I think the main thing we want to avoid is two people going back and forth constantly. I don't have an issue with several people being more active than others, however, as long as the aforementioned thing does not happen. Waiting for people who are away can really limit what the more active people can do.
