March 26, 201312 yr What is that exactly? Never heard of it or I may have but didn't know the translation so can sb please explain thx
March 26, 201312 yr I didn't take it until high school. So, I already knew the stuff they were teaching and I got really bored.
March 26, 201312 yr My Cousins thought it would be funny to show me a porn video when I was 6 so Sex Ed was really no big deal, Plus I'm Computer Schooled So there was no need for me to get embarrassed over saying anything such as *enter female parts here* or *enter male parts here*
March 26, 201312 yr What is that exactly? Never heard of it or I may have but didn't know the translation so can sb please explain thx it stands for sex education and is the study of reproduction i didn't mind that much when we started learning it in primary school
March 26, 201312 yr I was never taught it at school. Good job Irish education. Not that it made a blind difference any ways you learn more from people than you ever would in a taught class. I think... I dunno I was never taught
March 26, 201312 yr Never had sex ed as a young lad back in my day. Had to find out through instinct.
March 27, 201312 yr Never had sex ed as a young lad back in my day. Had to find out through instinct. Since you're an old man, you lived through the sex revolution. I don't remember...
March 27, 201312 yr I have never had a sex education class before, but I can imagine I would have felt pretty awkward. That's just me though, I am kind of an awkward person in general. ^_^
March 27, 201312 yr Never an official Sex Ed class in my district. Basically there are three times when we discuss it. In 8th grade the school slowly takes all of the boys and all of the girls in the grade to talk about the subject for anyone who didn't know how it worked yet (no one). This was really akward because it they used Brain Pop for many of the videos. My childhood was instantly ruined watching Tim and Mobey discuss genitalia. Then in biology class you watch it and even see a video of a baby being born. If there is anything to discourage teens from getting pregnant, this video takes the cake. Basically, child birth looks like an alien coming out of Chewbacca's asshole. Then in health class we talk about sex and STDs and all that. All of us take health around 15 or 16 years old so by this point the class is completely redundant for obvious reasons. My reaction was mostly indifference. I had "the talk" when I was 10 so I had a basic understanding of it. It was pretty funny watching the reactions of other kids who were sexually ignorant. It's funny, one of my friends would close his eyes and cover his ears during that 8th grade discussion. Now he's like the horniest shithead I know lol. Edited March 27, 201312 yr by Amon

March 27, 201312 yr Me: "So THAT'S where babies come from!" And yes I was genuinely surprised. Everyone else: Edited March 27, 201312 yr by Javelin434
March 28, 201312 yr Teaching 9 year olds these things. Very...interesting concept they had. I think it is a good idea. It was funny when I was that age. We even read some books about it... okay, they had many, many pictures in them. "Peter, Ida und Minimum" is one of them. I remember laughing at the picture when the baby's head looked out of its mother's vagina. A few years later they would do the same... well, without that Peter lovely book and now about "how to use a condom" etc.. I loved banana's and now I love them even more
March 30, 201312 yr My mom took me out of school and put me in homeschool before we got the 'talk.' So , never had a reaction to it.
April 5, 201312 yr The entirety of my sex education courses were basically: Condoms exist, you'll still get STDs and get pregnant if you use them. Have a nice day. And the next day we switched over to "health" talking about melanoma and stuff. It's no wonder the handful of girls from my class that haven't already had one or two kids is just becoming a smaller number every day.

April 11, 201312 yr When it came to genitals, I was traumatized. Especially by penises. As for the how babies are made, I didn't see the big deal on how gross it was. I didn't understand how the girls could be disgusted. If you're grossed out by a baby covered in blood, then what the hell do you do when you get your period every month? Though I probably wouldn't have been as traumatized if the media and society didn't teach us that sex is shameful and vile. Now I know better. Edited April 11, 201312 yr by TheApprenticeofKingMickey
