Anyone think there are perks or privileges unlocked within when entitled Keyblade Master besides extracting hearts, bequeathing, or conducting a mark of mastery test. Or do you think it's just a title?

What more could you ask than to be a master of a key?

well...you get to keep a big-ass key

There are some perks but from what we've been shown it varies on depending who granted the title/where you got it. If you're a student at LoD you not only get the title of Master, but you can potentially get the title of successor and eventually own LoD it self. With it comes the secrets to the world. Generally speaking though what one gains with being master, or even master level, is knowledge. For the most part it's just a fancy title, Sora didn't even care about being named master, lol.

There are things like MX unlocking his heart like you saw him do .And what we saw Eraqus do with his heart with Terra when he faded . And other secrets they pass on to other masters like when we saw Aqua make Land of Departure into CO to hide Ven and protect her sacred home world .Mostly that stuff ..and Status

So basically you could become one with the force like Obi Wan

lol. Sora aint no Master and he gets to keep it... basterd

You get a cool title as well as some extra knolege and responsibility. It's pretty much the same as the difference between a jedi knight and a jedi master.

nice analogy

I like to think of the "keyblade master" designation as like a college degree.  It's something to officially designate you know what you're doing with a keyblade, but just like any degree, it's just something for show, to recognize your talents.  Whether you actually have talent is a different story; Sora saved the world twice before even trying out for the title, whereas Aqua and Eraqus, official masters, didn't do much in the long run.

Being a keyblade master gives you privilege because it's a title given to you from an official source.  To get that title (at least seemingly) means you're capable, and capability means being entrusted with certain responsibilities and knowledge, like LoD's secret mechanism, and the green light to go out and combat darkness and whatnot.  Nomura said Terra has the power of a keyblade master, which is why he could perform the Right of Succession on Riku, so him getting the title of keyblade master would just be for recognition.  I imagine being strong enough to be a keyblade master means being able to give keyblade-wielding capabilities to candidates; maybe you need to have a strong enough heart for the succession to work?  And only the strong-hearted (and badass) can become keyblade masters.

It's just a title

Except for Xehanort and Riku, everyone who earned the title so far didn't make any significant achievement....in fact their decision made things worse and much harder for Sora and Riku to handle 10 years later

Dude,Sora is actually much much more Stronger than Eraqus,Aqua and two forms of Master Xehanort (Ansem and Xemnas)

So yeah.....other than getting a castle of your own....being a Keyblade Master doesn't do shit.

Being a Keyblade Master means you can do what you want.

Personally I think Riku is the best out of dem all.

yea, it's not like sora didn't have that privilege...

Sora does because everyone's a Keyblade Master. Donald and Goofy are the best Keyblade Masters

Mickey: STOPZA!

Do you think I could become a Keyblade master?
