FireRubies1 1,325 Posted April 21, 2013 So we've used up lots of DIsney movies in the KH games. So with the fact that there are still more on the way, will we resort to having to use Disney sequels in the worlds? We've already used Return of Jafar, but that one did have an okay plot. But imagine this in a KH game Starts at 0:21 And I wasn't even thinking about the fact that Haley Joel Osment (kid) was in that movie But aside from the half baked plots in each of the sequels I really don't want to see Quasimodo's "It's beautiful on the inside" moment 2 The Transcendent Key and Imoore4 reacted to this
Dracozombie 4,554 Posted April 21, 2013 I thought I heard somewhere that Nomura won't be using movie sequels or cartoon series, but I could be wrong. It might be for the best, though, since the sequels aren't regarded as highly as the originals.
The Transcendent Key 12,109 Posted April 21, 2013 Well, I agree with you that some sequels of Disney movies don't live up to the excellent quality of the first movies, but there is one sequel in mind which I find was really good: The Lion King 2: Simba's Pride. That was one heck of a Disney sequel, and it was really epic and I especially liked Kovu's inner fight with himself to find his true identity. If Square plays it's cards right, we don't have anything to worry about. Besides, there's also the Pixar movies, which have not yet made an appearance in a Kingdom Hearts game. And there's also Lilo and Stitch's world (the island, not the spaceship). So when you think of it, there are still some few things here and there that Square could use. Also, it would be cool to see a Chicken Little world, since he appeared in KH2 as a summon. It's all up to Square. 3 Imoore4, Weiss and Nora Valkyrie reacted to this
Columned-Munny 274 Posted April 21, 2013 Hmm. Well, I hope that the go back to the KH1 plot formula, where the plot of the movies is more alluded to than the centerpiece of the adventure or isn't strictly followed. I'd like to see how the worlds handle a resurgence of Heartless under Xehanort's return, or the big bads of the worlds uniting again in some fashion. More to your point, I don't think they'll mine many of the Disney movie sequels. They're not as iconic, and if they're desperate for plot devices they could probably just make up better ones than the events of the sequels.
Caity 3,946 Posted April 21, 2013 I would actually like to see Hunchback of Notre Dame 2, the art style would be game graphics instead of the abomination the movie presented - which was the main problem I found with the sequel when watching it straight after the first one. I'd like to see Quasi find love But I couldn't imagine them using that until we're a good few games down the line since it was just in 3D. I don't want to see Pocahontas 2 (seriously when rewatching the first one, I feel like the second one just ripped out my childish view of true love and stamped on my heart), The Little Mermaid 2 (waste, the same story with reversed roles, I'd much rather have it where I'm under the sea but can transform into a human and meet Ariel on land/swimming with legs instead of rehashing the story for the sake of it), Beauty and the Beast 2, Cinderella 2 and 3, or anything based off one of the Disney TV shows they hash together for the craic of it. 1 Reyn reacted to this

I kinda wanna see the Little Mermaid 2 for Tip and Dash And I didn't really mind Pocahontas 2... mostly because I thought the first one was just as meh... But I kinda doubt them touching those movies considering they're not as big and also deal with kind of big issues... look at Mulan (speaking of that I don't want to see that sequel either ) they took Mulan and also removed everything dealing with gender roles and Mulan's inner conflict. Cinderella 3 kind of sounds like fun though... it has a plot where I feel Sora and company could kind of fit into (Helping Cinderella fix the timeline and all that)
Dave 5,715 Posted April 21, 2013 Rescuer's Down Under. I desperately want a level on that.
Weiss 8,279 Posted April 21, 2013 Depends on the sequel. There are some that could turn out really good and others that could turn out bad. Return of Jafar was done pretty well imo. I think another Square could do that would turn out well would be Hunchback 2 as well as Peter Pan 2 if done right.
Amber Cole 1,557 Posted April 21, 2013 I would really like to see the lilo and stitch world and have like a mini game where you catch the experiments in a mini game. That would be sweet!! Orrr findong nemo. Or narnia.

When I watch Pocahontas 2 by itself (years ago the first was out) I actually liked it, but going from 1 straight into 2 it just trashes the first, which I loved I don't like sequels that change the original, I would have preferred it if they let the Fairy God Mother fix the timeline to the way it was instead of leaving it how it was cause similar to Beauty and the Beast/Pocahontas/Tarzan sequels ruin the magic/lesson of the first one for me. I'd like to see KH sequels in itself, revisiting worlds we've seen but they're left out a chunk of the original movie. Like finally getting to fight Gaston as he's trying to storm the castle. 1 FireRubies1 reacted to this
MyDixieRect 2,061 Posted April 21, 2013 I don't see why. We use the more modern ones from the 90s but there are still plenty of magical worlds we've yet to use. Cast your mind back to the times of Bambi (I know he's been a summon but still not a world), Dumbo (same), Lady and the Tramp, The Jungle Book, more recently Pocohontas and Emperor's New Groove and the more modern ones like Tangled, and Princess and the Frog. ...OMG how awesome would it be if we did get a Wreck-it-Ralph world?! Ahem, there's all that and over 20 lesser known ones. I'm sure we'll be fine for a long time.
Shana09 5,769 Posted April 21, 2013 Disney sequels can be used as worlds in KH3 but I doubt there would be much of it. Due to Disney taking over Pixar I think it's safe to say that the Pixar movies would be debut more often than the animated Disney sequel movies. Wreck-it Ralph, Toy Story (1, 2 and/or 3), Finding Nemo (the new Little Mermaid world), Monster Inc., The Incredibles, Wall-E, and Brave. Yeah the movies have to be popular and loved as well, but these got decent amount of positive attention in order to potentially be in the game. As for Disney Animated films, the new movies would be: Princess and the Frog, Tangled, Jungle Book (hey it was in the coding for BBS), Chicken Little, Pocahontas, and possibly Bambi(?). Some worlds already placed can be expanded as well, such as the movie Hercules, we can finally see Zeus, Hera etc. as well. Beauty and the Beast can also contain the town with Gaston, Belle's father etc. Lilo and Stich with their own Island this time. A new story concerning Cinderella, since they barely worked with it and they have more potential to do something with it. Alice and the Wonderland with the Mad hatter and all. They could simply rehash worlds with a new plot that also relates and references the previous plots it has in the other games. Also we are bound to see Disney Castle again. Disney sequels aren't usually praised often, only some are liked but mostly its your own personal taste while critics and the audience thought they were alright. They could be used but I think it's better to create your own plotline concerning these characters if you are going to add them back in, but I think there is enough potential worlds I listed above (19 worlds), which are 4 more worlds than KH2 had and I didn't even include the original worlds yet (Twilight Town, Disney Island, Keyblade Graveyard, Hollow Bastion, etc.)
