I wonder how the KH fanbase would respond if...

Posted

...when Square actually came out with KH3, they didn't even call it Kingdom Hearts III. What if it was just another "Kingdom Hearts: [title]" named game like BBS, CoM, days, ReCoded and 3D. I mean, I wouldn't put it past them, seeing as they have so many games with a title of that format. But how do you think the fanbase would react? I wouldn't be surprised if some fans would just completely ignore it, and demand KH3 anyway, even though this is, for all intents and purposes, KH3. I'm not saying I expect this to happen, I'm just saying it would be interesting. What do you buttmonkeys think?

There's always going to be haters...I think no matter what, people are going to hate anyways. (Though I'd be a bit off-put if they didn't make it KH III...it seems like the most logical option. Of course, when you have spiky kids with massive swords, and teens wielding key-swords, I'm sure logic has been thrown out the window.)

You said it, Square Enix been avoiding the kh3 already for a while, so it wouldn't be a surprise if they make another spin off instead of the so awaited sequel.

In fact I'm sure the next game is going to be another spin off or a remake :/

"WHATS THIS?! ANOTHER SIDE GAME?! COME OUT WITH KH3 NOW SQUARE RAWR JAISFJDOAJ"

Probably something along those lines

I think you misread the post.

That is posible,

why don't you explain it to me then

Fun fact: Kh mobile, V-cast and the upcoming KH X [chi] are the only side games or spin-offs

really?
but they aren't a direct sequel so is almost the same

I wouldn't be too surprized if they gave it a special name.  Or something like "Kingdom Hearts III: blahblahblahhreconnectedorsomething." Or have a name like that with a III in the logo similar to the II in the KH2 logo.  If they just named it like KH BBS, people would assume it's another "useless side game."

COM, BBS, Days, =/= spin-offs

COM, BBS. Days = midquels and prequels

I wonder what the next saga will be called? Could be numbered titles going from 3 or perhaps it wont even be called Kingdom Hearts?

doh, I see

but just the BbS and CoM provide something importan to the main plot

and I agree  the game is going to be name like that

Fans who've stayed dedicated and kept up with it would be grand and know what's going on

The ones who just demand KH3 will probably have a melt down thinking it's a side game and cry.

He meant what if they made KH3 but didn't call it KH3

Yeah they are.

Despite the fact most people call them Side games, they are pretty much Direct Sequels/Prequels to the plot that must be played in order to actually understand the whole story.

The Order of the games including Main Titles and Side games go like this:

BBS, KH1, COM, 358/2 Days, KH2, Coded, DDD, KH3.

They all go hand in hand in that order from left to right.

its not square anymore. its square enix.

And before Square Enix they were Squaresoft. So what did you try to say?Well, I would most likely spend my whole time explaining to the fanbase that the new Game is actually KH3

Oh, that would be the same people who are still waiting for BBS to come out after watching the KH2 secret ending.

Uhh...Yeah, it's been basically common knowledge at this point that KH 2.5 ReMix is next year, then most likely KH 3 for 2015...I'm 95% sure that's what's going to happen.

It's pretty cool though, cause we get AVATAR TWO in 2015 as well. It'll be a great year...

I found it irritating when 3D came out as I thought it was gonna be KH3 so it'd be nice if they made it clear!
