  • The PS3 version would be the best.

  • No. No. No. No. No. No. and NO. X-box live is very expensive. The X-Box is a nice console, but it's just not worth the money. I only play it for Halo really, but overall, I have given up on the X-Bo

Many thanks for all the advice everyone! I exchanged my Mario Tennis for Kid Icarus today (though I wouldn't recommend this to anyone wanting to do it with the 40% discount--you can't get an even exchange for a game of the same value, unfortunately). Can't wait to try it out!

If you haven't tried Steam (or seen any of the recent posts about it), it is really great for playing all types of games.

What are your "must get"/ "must have" Steam games? Right now, mine is Knights of the Old Republic.

I kinda wanna try the Walking Dead game and Dota 2 lol

Half Life and the Portal games are must-haves, both are great!

I just finished watching PewDiePie's playthrough of Lucius and it looks pretty fun to play. The story gets repetitive and there are a LOT of satanic symbols and killings, but it's still fun.

The Walking Dead is freakin awesome :O

My top 3.

1. TF2, it's free and it's one of the greatest games ever made, probably the best shooter ever made all things considered. It also doesn't put your computer into overdrive so there really isn't any reason not to own this game

2. Portal 2, the first game is fantastic no doubt about it, but if you have to choose between the two get the second game. The story in the first game doesn't really start until the last third of the game so you don't miss too much. The second game is fantastic though. The characters are amazing, the graphics are great and don't put a huge strain on your computer, and the story is well executed.

3. Company of Heroes, easily the best strategy game I've ever played. Fantastic campaigns and amazing multiplayer that remains very active for a game that's been out several years now and hasn't received any major updates in a while. Company of Heroes 2 is coming out soon so you might be better off waiting for that. Both games require a bit of a better computer to play.

1. All Valve games: Basically, these are one of the best games ever made, they are pretty cheap comparing to amount of time you can spend on them, lot of custom mods. You can buy some of these for console, but they are kinda downgraded: games don't get patches and bug fixes anymore, you can't have custom mods, free DLC for PC costs on consoles.

2. Killing Floor: If you like zombie stuff, buy this. It requires very minimal computer specs, it's fun, the gaming community is nice and cool. A lot of custom mods. Lot of different difficulties.

3. Total War series: one of the better RTS games, really fun, don't require too much from computer, cheap, lot of content. Nice community.

You should also check out games like: Dungeon Defenders, Trine 2, Magicka, TorchLight 2,

I'm hoping to get Borderlands 2 (with dlc), maybe Darksiders 2, and the Far Cry Trilogy, with Far Cry 3 at highest priority.  There may be other games that I'm forgetting that I wanted (I think Prototype 1 & 2 might be cool to have as well as the Assassin's Creed series), but I'm not sure if I could ever afford them all at once xD  We'll see how this Christmas (And my awaiting birthday presents :D) turn out :3

P O R T A L 2

Portal and Portal 2, Half-Life series. Those are some must gets right there.

The Walking Dead owns every steam it has...

Wait for the Christmas sale and buy EVERYTHING that everyone had recommended you so far!

I will recommend you my 3 favourite indie games so far:

- Hotline Miami

- Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams

- Mark of the Ninja

Wait for the Christmas sale and buy EVERYTHING that everyone had recommended you so far!

Portal, Portal 2

I have $10 to spend on the Wii Shop for Christmas, and I'm not really sure what to get. I'm looking at Paper Mario, Super Mario RPG, and Star Fox 64, but there are probably some other good games I'm missing out on. I have 1000 points to spend, and while I'm mainly looking at Virtual Console, I'm okay with good Wiiware games. I like RPGs a lot, but I also like variety. Any good suggestions? I might already have some games that are suggested, by the way. :P

Woah... xD Alright, there's a vote for that game. Any other suggestions I could look in to?

Majora's Mask. You won't regret it.

This answer has a serious lack of Mario RPG.

Majora's Mask. You won't regret it.

I have that one already, thanks though! I know there are some other Zelda games on there I don't have (Zelda II and Link to the Past I think)

Chrono Trigger, epic RPG :')

Chrono Trigger, epic RPG :')

I've got that one on PSX, plan on getting the DS version... Maybe I should just say the good games I have so I don't get any duplicate suggestions. xD

Games I already have:

Final Fantasy I, IISNES, and IIISNES

Zelda 1, OoT, and Majora's Mask

Kirby's Adventure, Super Star, Dream Land 3, 64

Super Mario Kart (I was considering 64, but I can't do multiplayer on it due to lack of controllers, and my brother might get MKWii soon)

Super Mario Bros (I have All Stars, so I don't really need those 4 Mario games on it)

Castlevania 1

And Chrono Trigger and FFIV The After Years on other systems. Sorry about the long list, just making sure I don't get duplicates.
