With Tropical Freeze's upcoming release, and tomorrow's Direct, do you guys think Diddy Kong will be announced soon? I think it's gonna happen.

As cool as Diddy Kong is, I'd much rather play as Cranky. The idea of beating down my opponents as an old ape with a can just sounds fun.

I'd love to see Cranky (Horrible confession: I haven't played a DKC game yet, I'd love to though. Cranky looks really cool), but I kind of feel like Diddy's more likely, since he's DK's partner and all, and we haven't seen him yet. One thing I can say for certain is that there's probably going to be a DKC character announced for Smash Bros tomorrow.

You really should. They're awesome. I wasn't here back then, and by most be considered to be too young to understand the greatness, I prefer the older games like Banjo Kazooie and Tooie, and the DKC games. I don't like shooters. So...yeah. I guess...I'm a great 13 year old.

I had a SNES growing up, but I didn't have any good games aside from Super Star Wars. It stopped working when I was a kid for some reason, although it's been working fine this past year or so. I plan on making up for all those games that I missed out on, and DKC is definitely one of them. I might end up getting the new one first though, so I can expand my Wii U library.

I've never played a Smash game in my life, so I don't have any experience with mains and such. But I'll probably focus on Link, Toon Link, Zelda, Rosalina, and Kirby.

Prepare for a magical experience. The first time playing Smash Bros is always amazing. (Even though it's my second time that stands out more since my first time was years before I ever bought one, and it was only for a short time, but still, close enough. )

If Brawl's cheap (I got it a year or so after release, so I don't know what the current pricing is), it would probably be worth getting in some practice with that one. It's got all of the characters you said you wanted to play as, with the exception of Rosalina, and it's still really fun to play. The only drawback is that I've heard the online matches in that one aren't that great. I can't say much, since I could never do random battles thanks to crappy WiFi, but if you're doing single player, it's a great game.

They aren't that well unless you're in the same town as someone.

I got my SNES from my dad. I was born around the start of the N64's release, so I was a generation ahead of the SNES and didn't get many games for it as a result. Of course, I never got an N64 either... I was mostly a Gameboy/PS2 kid until I got a Wii.

Same here, I love a lot of the old Nintendo systems (I've played N64/NES/SNES games on Wii VC). I own a SNES, Gamecube, Wii, Wii U, Gameboy Color, Gameboy Advance SP, DS Lite, and 3DS, Nintendo-wise anyway.

To be honest, I kind of expected Little Mac to be in the game. I'm looking forward to playing as him.

I'm still holding out hope they'll put in Isaac or Felix from Golden Sun.

Im looking forward to playing as LM, he looks cool.

 

On another note....DARN IT SAKURAI WHERE'S LUCAS? Also i really hope Masked Man gets added in later on, he is worthy of being the 3rd Mother character i think. Him or Jeff(Or Poo).

I just noticed something. The symbol on the floor of the arena stage changed from the smash bros symbol to a symbol with two boxing gloves. I guess that means the arena is a "Punch Out" stage, then.

Didn't expect for Little Mac to be in as a legit character. I thought maybe Trophy again, or ASSIST Trophy at most. Huh.

I still want Shadow, but I no longer dislike Little Mac. Plus:
