Super Smash bros. Wii U/3DS won't get a release date. But a release window:

 

Super Smash Bros. has been penned for a 2014 release date for a good numbers of months now, but those who thought an official date could be on the cards in today’s Direct will just have to wait a little longer. According to a tweet from Japan’s Super Smash Bros. Twitter account, the Direct will only reveal a “rough release window” for the upcoming brawler. Many are under the impression Nintendo could be saving news of the official release date for E3 later this year. Here’s what the tweet says, translated by Siliconera.

Well I'd expect a release date in E3 most likely

 

I think they'll release it around the holiday season

Well, at least we get something specific. I'm more excited for news on characters and game modes, personally.

HOOOOLLY SHIT GRENINJA LOOKS SO BADASS+PLAYABLE MEGA EVOLUTIONS ^_^

Oh man, the new mode for the 3DS version looks intense!

I'm expecting a Grass Type Starter to be playable later on the way. I'm extremely happy to know that all characters now have a single moveset though.

Oh geez, that was amazing. Everything about it... YES.

 

Also, finally, Zelda and Sheik are different. I hate playing as Sheik, so I'm happy about that. Looks like my theory about her using Phantoms was correct!

Wow, that was awesome! I like Pits new final smash and Kirby's too, they look amazing.

 

So they'll ban any cheaters in online? Thats fair, but I just hope that doesnt interfere with people making Machinimas for this game. :|

 

Im also a bit sad that its not international release date for 3DS AND Wii U, i was hoping to playing the game with my friends on Wii U at the library sooner, but at least the 3DS version is coming out in a few months. By then we'll know the entire roster before the Wii U version comes out.

Everything was epic, besides the fact now I'ma have to wait months while everyone on their 3DS's rubs SSB4 on my face. Ugh just why Sakurai... 

 

Anyways, onward to the best thing I saw out of everything:

Sakurai did justice to the Rockman series. All Rockmans assist for the final smash!

 

Then I noticed Darkrai could be an assist trophy... omg my dreams are coming true. 

I think the frequent droppings is dumb not everyone has good internet access like me my internet always go down.

That was.....AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING

 

Especially Greninja he looks so badass and he might become one of my new mains

 

 

And I'm happy Charizard and Lucario got their Mega Evolutions

 

 

The only thing I was sad about is that the 3DS version is coming first.......why??Maybe because they don't want to release the console version close to Mario Kart 8?

Well, to be fair, the Wii U version would need more work as its gonna have more content to work with. But, look on the bright side, at least we'll have SOMETHING to keep us occupied while we wait for the Wii U version. Plus, by the time Wii U comes out, we'll know the whole roster and who to look forward too! I was honestly hoping for there to be a release in summer for BOTH of them, but i guess it has to be expected. As long as its international and everyone out of japan doesnt have to wait longer for it to come out in other coutnries, then im satisfied.

 

Also, the Wii U version coming out later just means itll be THAT much better than the 3DS version.

They didn't do it intentionally, it's hardware limitations. If they could, they'd make it work perfectly fine.

Me too,I think the 3DS version is used as more of an apetite until the Wii U version comes out.....which might shows up at EVO since it was confirmed that Smash Bros will be at EVO and they might show a demo for the Wii U version there

Well still, considering itll come out in 2-3 months, and the Wii U version will come out in 8 months, i would get it to keep myself pre-occupied. Just my suggestion. Then you can get rid of the 3DS version when the Wii U one comes out.
