they need MOAR death and blood on their songs, also more satan mentions.edt; but they're alright.

They used to be my favorite band. They had quite a few amazing songs, such as "Imperfection", "Whispers in the Dark", "Lucy", "Awake and Alive", "Savior", "Open Wounds", and lots of others that I really liked. BUT...

Their new CD just doesn't even look worth dishing out the money for. From the songs I heard, they sound boring/stupid/poorly written. I'm disappointed, seeing as they had so long to come up with new content. Not to mention John's voice is sounding scratchier and scratchier.

I like some of Skillets stuff. They're cool.

I have been a fan of Skillet for awhile now and I still love their music. I like it when they combine modern instruments, like the guitar and the drums, with classical ones like violins and cellos. I also really appreciate that their music is clean and that various songs send a good message. I am looking forward to listening to their new music and wish them the very best.

Im more into conventional rock or heavy metal, but this is excellent stuff :)

their lyrics are optimistic which is unusual for a rock band nowadays, thats very admirable.

if you like these dudes and are open to muli cultural rock bands try these guys out :) they also give positive messages and sound epic.

I like Skillet but they don't offer anything new anymore, it's just that (nearly) all their songs sound the same.

This is probably one of my favorite rock bands of all time, and I really love how their songs have such a powerful and emotional impact.  I first heard their songs back in 2009 or 2008, and I've been hooked on them ever since.  I like how they mix up styles with every album, and I have to say that Comatose is the album that I like the most from them.  And from what I've heard from Rise, it's going to be one hell of an album. :)

Hey everyone, how's it going?  As you all know, I'm a big fan of Skillet, and I've been listening songs from their new album Rise, and this song, called What I Believe, is so far one of my favorites, because just listening to it describes my relationship with my Dearly Beloved girlfriend Inori.  The song is so perfect, and it made me smile.  Take a look everyone! :D

Damn, that female singer sounds a lot like Avril Lavigne.

Lol. Jen Ledger is British and I'm pretty sure Avril Lavigne is American.

Hey there everyone, how's it going?  I'm here to provide a review of Skillet's latest studio album called Rise.  Now then, let me start off by saying that the album is exceptionally well made and the way it sounds is divine.  I'm not just saying this because I'm a Panhead, I'm saying this for all rock fans in general.

Skillet has been making Christian rock music for many years now, and they've had high successes like the album Comatose from 2006 and Awake from 2009.  They've established themselves as one of the best rock bands in the world, and their music speaks up to this claim. Now then, on to the review in general.  So for this album, John Cooper decided to tell a story about a teenager coming of age and finding himself, searching for his place in the world.  The album has twelve songs,(fifteen if you purchase the deluxe version.) and all of the songs are pretty powerful and contain incredible messages.  My favorite songs from this album are Rise, Sick Of It, Not Gonna Die, Fire And Fury, My Religion, Circus For A Psycho, Salvation, Madness In Me and What I Believe.  I love all the songs on this latest album, but those are the ones that stand out the most to me.

For those seeking to rock out to epic music or simply want to search for hope, listen to the incredible songs in this album.  In my personal opinion, I think Rise is Skillet's best album yet, plus, drummer and back up vocalist Jen Ledger steals the show in this album, as her incredible voice proves to be insanely epic in the songs.  For those who want the deluxe version, you get bonus music videos from their live performance in Michigan.  The songs they played in the live performance include Awake and Alive, Comatose, Hero, The Last Night, Lucy, Monster, Rebirthing, Those Nights and Whispers In The Dark.  I truly recommend you all to give this album a try, as it mixes the old Skillet with the new Skillet in a unique blend of sound.

Well, there's my review of Skillet's latest album Rise!  I hope I was able to be useful in providing this review for all you music lovers and Panheads! :)

"Not Gonna Die" music video is here!

Oh my God, this video just sent chills down my spine.  And not to mention this is my favorite track from Rise.  I mean seriously, this song is powerful!  And the video was so well made!  Skillet looks better than ever, and I love all the new looks!  And Jen Ledger, seriously, Jen Ledger! xD  Anyways, Sora96, thanks for the awesome vid. Skillet is an amazing band that deserves praise. :)
