Every week or so, I learn something new pertaining to the KH series that completely blows my mind all over the carpet. Here are some of the realizations I've had recently:

 

 

-Roxas wields two keyblades since he's an amalgamation of Sora and Ventus.

-The members of the original Organization had the letter X implemented in their names so they were kept track of.

-The worlds represent the specks of light scattered throughout the darkness.

-The Kingdom Key shares the same color palette as Riku, given that he was originally the one to wield it.

 

 

And people wonder why I love KH so much!

You,know I never reliazed any of this.

I never though of the color pallet thing.

That actually makes sense.

 

Now, why is Mickey's just the opposite?

Not to crush you theory of Roxas and Ventus, but if you've played 358/2 Days, you will realize that Roxas doesn't weild two keyblades until Xion Dies. This implies that he weilds two keyblades because one is his, and since Xion is (or at least, was) a replica of Roxas in order to duplicate the Keyblade, the other belongs to Xion.Now, as for your theory on the color palette thing, I find it quite interesting. I've never thought of that before."Very good. You don't miss a thing." -Xemnas 

I never though of the color pallet thing.That actually makes sense.Now, why is Mickey's just the opposite?

yeah, it's one of those design-based easter eggs lol

 

I'm not quite sure, either it's supposed to mirror Sora's (since Sora is the lead Square Enix protagonist, and Mickey is the lead Disney protagonist), or simply the colors of Mickey's keyblade reflect his original Walt Disney-given appearance (the red pants, the white gloves, the yellow shoes).

I pretty much noticed everyone. One of those few times when you wondered about everything and noticed some things you haven't noticed before

Well, technically both hypotheses could be correct:

Yeah.  If you are really into the details, you should go through and read all of the Nomura Interviews.  He actually confirms and/or invalidates some theories and clarifies a ton of stuff that isn't really addressed in the games.  EXTREMELY helpful.    http://kh13.com/interviews/

Everything commects and it makes so much sense. Nomura is puting so much thought in the Kingdom Hearts series that I still don't think everything (and every little thing) has been figured out by fans yet.

Xion's keyblade was fake. This is confirmed  by Nomura and in game by Riku himself . Also Xion did not hold Ven's heart, Roxas did .

This doesn't get any clearer then this. Roxas who is literally Sora's body was affected by Ventus's heart. 

Since the heart shapes the vessel Sora's body was molded to look like Ventus as his heart remained in Sora's body. Had Ven's heart not been present Roxas would have looked like Sora not Ven.

 

Q4: Why can Roxas dual-wield?*

 

A: Because he can use both Sora’s and Ventus’ keyblades. Sora can wield two keyblades at once because he has Ventus’ as well as his own. As Roxas is a part of Sora, he also can use two. In Days Roxas awakened his ability to dual wield after fighting Xion. In KHII once, Sora absorbs him, he can also dual-wield. 

 

Again if Roxas did not have Ven's heart he would have no means to access Ven's keyblade.

 

 

Nomura: Well, it isn’t that Roxas has physically inherited Xion’s keyblade, but more that Xion has awakened it within Roxas. In the KH series there are a lot of complex reasons why someone can use a keyblade, but basically you need a “heart” to be able to wield one. So strictly speaking, they are being influenced by Sora.

Sora uses his own and Ventus' when he dual wields - same as Roxas.  Nomura stated that Sora was always destined to wield and that the only thing Ven's heart gives him is the ability to dual wield . If anything, Ven's heart might have just sped the process up. It was never said that Ven was the sole reason he could wield - that's just an assumption made by some people.

Wait, wasn't Sora using his keyblade in CO at the same time Roxas was using his. It makes no sense.

They shared the power .When one was using the keyblade the other wasn't . Nomura explained this. Xion, Roxas ,and Sora all affected each other which is why there was a lot of fainting and sleeping going on throughout this time

All of these things will probably be brought up again when KHIII gets more news in the future.
