So what do you guys think of Kairi  being a keyblade weilder? I was surprised and then I was like okay...

Featured Replies

Not surprised at all

I was alright with it since this gives Kairi more purpose and screen time. But I still wish the secret ending in KH3D didn't show us that. It could have been used as a part of the regular ending. Maybe even after the credits. It was a waste having that as a "Secret ending".

I called it. It wasnt that big a thing.

I wasn't really surprised. I kind of guessed that she would be one from the first KH game for some odd reason.

I figured she'd become one sooner or later.

Kind of expected it to happen at some point.

I hoped she would become one, it only makes more sense for her to anyways

I had no problem with her holding a keyblade in KH2. But if she had summoned one instead, I might have flipped a table. Now in KH3D, after playing all the previous KH games, you just have to accept it.

I kind of feel like they just threw her one and said here, go play with this. Just to give her a purpose in the next game and what not. I mean its nice to see her weild a keyblade. But it was better when she played the damsel in distress because she was Soras motivation. She was the home to go back to for Sora and Riku. Honestly at first I was upset they gave her one cause Iseriously just wanted one important character not to weild a keyblade. She's a princess of heart, she shouldn't have to fight the darkness! And now they're just giving keyblades arround in cereal boxes. But nonetheless, with all this, ill be rooting for her anyways.

I agree she's better as a damsel She keeps sora going and without her on the islands I doubt sora would even go back

That's my problem with Kairi."She needs to do something, I hate her otherwise!""Ah, you made her do something, she was better when she didn't!"I swear the amount of complaints that hold characters and games back really grinds my gears...

For sure. She needs to defend herself just in case Xehanort decides to try something.

Exactly. After all the fans complained and whined about Kairi not doing anything besides being captured Nomura finally decides to give her more purpose and meaning in the series. But what happens after that? People now complain that she is getting a keyblade and finally having more purpose in the story after whining about her not doing anything. Goes to show that you can never please everyone no matter what you do.

I just don't like the series now giving everyone a Keyblade, I guess Kairi is okay with one, but Lea did NOT need one.

As much as I love lea and how more badass he will be with it, I have to admit that I agree with that

I felt like Lea was completely fan serviced back in with Keyblade wielding abilities. Though with the way 3D's secret ending worded it, Kairi's the last key, so no one else who hasn't been said to wield the Keyblade will not wield a Keyblade.

I love Lea and I thought he was just fine with his Chakrams, giving him a keyblade seemed pointless to me.

i don't think kairi will be fighting in the battle against xehanort, but maybe she will. i think she'll just have that key to defend herself since there isn't going to be much time for her to get her keyblade skills.

kairi having a keyblade, i never complained about her being a damsel and now htat i look at it seriously i'm like...this is a little annoying and unnecessary, but i can deal with it.

. On the contrary, I hated when people said Kairi didn't do anything. She played her a major role just by being her. Her heart was literetly pure light, and represented hope and home and light for Sora and Riku. She was just a normal girl who at the same time was very important, a princess of heart. I just don't understand how anyone could say she isn't important without a keyblade. Sora and Riku were the ones who fought the hard battles, and Kairi was the love and friend who was part of the light they fought for. it was nice for her to help them in KH2, and even now in 3. It shows she cares about her friends deeply. same thing with Lea. I thought he was coolback in BBS, where he told ven something like "while you play with your silly swords, I'VE got these chakrams. Cool right?" It was nice that Lea was a cool character even without a keyblade.Ifeel like they're just throwing keyblades to everyone, but I'm still rooting for them. Especially Kairi, who will fight with Sora and Riku. Riku using dark moves and Kairi using pure light moves.
