SkullMajora 28 Posted September 11, 2013 (edited) To those of you who are playing KHFM for the first time, Final Mix: Proud Mode isn't as easy as the Proud Mode in the other games. It's horrifyingly brutal, so if Expert mode was hard for you, be wary. I started a playthrough on Sunday and at lv 18, the Stealth Sneak and even ordinary enemies could defeat me in just a few hits if I wasn't careful. Gamerazor247 877 Posted September 11, 2013 Pfft, you should had leveled up more at Destiny Islands. Like LVL 10 And I hope you beat Leon and Cloud....

Nweintraub 630 Posted September 11, 2013 Well, thanks a lot. Now, I'll never play proud mode, & there's nothing you can do to make me!

Hero of Winds 2,576 Posted September 11, 2013 I keep expecting to have a terrible time surviving, being rusty on KH1, since I haven't played it since I first beat it. But so far, I'm playing on Proud and being a total boss. 8)
RoxSox 3,593 Posted September 11, 2013 I'm playing proud. Chose the staff and gave up the sword. Left DI at lvl. 8. I only started feeling the burn in Agrabah.

That depends on what you choose at the beginning If you dropped the shield your defense will be absolute shit the more you progress through the game So I recommend that you guys get the shield and drop the staff since Magic isn't used that much

SkullMajora 28 Posted September 11, 2013 I'm playing proud. Chose the staff and gave up the sword. Left DI at lvl. 8. I only started feeling the burn in Agrabah. That's what I did (minus leaving at lv8). I just got to the 2nd visit to Traverse Town and I've died at least as many times as I did in my first play through of Sora's Story in Re CoM. I almost started a new game on FM: BG just for a relaxing play through, but I refuse to stop until I get 100 %. I should also mention that you should beat the Hercules Cup Time Trial before the rescue. The ability you get is really useful against Xemnas, and the Time Trial is next to impossible after Kairi is rescued.

Squall Leonhart 49 Posted September 11, 2013 i'm doing proud mode and my god this is firetrucking brutal, even the kids on the island can be a pain in the ass if you don't know the secret to beat them, Riku kicked my ass 13 times in a row, allot of the bosses aren't that hard if you go in a bit over leveled, if you don't go in over leveled you will die in one or two hits, Donald and goofy are hardly any help because they die so many times as well
The Transcendent Key 12,109 Posted September 11, 2013 I shall accept this challenge! I'm taking my time with the game and so far I haven't died once! I'm just leveling up before I keep going through the game. And I like a challenge, so this'll definitely be awesome!
Hero of Winds 2,576 Posted September 11, 2013 I CANNOT say this enough: Give Donald Ethers and Goofy Potions. You may think it's a waste, but it really firetrucking helps in the long run.
