I was playing Pokemon X. I found a Combee that I caught for PokeDex purposes. I nickname my Pokemon a majority of the time, so I named this one and named it Beezus. I've been playing the game all damn day with it in my party, mainly as a filler Pokemon. I kept continuing on through the game, until I decided to wonder trade it. I was talking to my friend on Steam about it, as we were both playing the game, and then I started to form regrets. I had begun to grow attached to Beezus. The trade started and I turned off my 3DS. I believed he was saved... but he wasn't. I turned on my 3DS only to learn he was traded for an Onix. A firetrucking Onix.A stupid firetrucking Onix with no value to me whatsoever. I lost an invaluable life partner after finally realizing how important he was to me only to find out I had received a mere firetrucking Onix for him.I tried sending this douche nugget a trade request, but he said no. That jerk probably traded it over wonder trade already. He's gone forever and I can't do crap about it. I think I may be too crushed to continue playing. This is it, this is over. I don't need any credits to tell me I'm done. Beezus' tragic departure is enough for me to end the game on.

This is why I don't trade unless its for a Pokemon of Greater value.

I'm sorry for your loss man but now you can be a jerk and trade that Onix to someone for something cooler

I did the same thing with my Leafeon on Pokemon Pearl. I ended up trading it away to My Pokemon Ranch and I can never get it back because Hailey has it for good. Now I always celebrate the lost Leafeon by getting things that are related to Leafeon to keep my spirit alive. So I know where you are coming from, but now you can at least celebrate the lost by gaining things that will keep the Pokemon in your memory.

That's why I reserve crappy pokemon for wonder trades. Though I feel your pain, I'm always scared of loosing the pokemon I put an effort into raising.
