No. It's a a phone/music player that you can happen to play a game on now and then. It's intended purpose is not to be a gaming device, and that alone makes it not a game console.

So true

Both Square Enix and Capcom needs to learn a lesson

Just because people have more mobiles than they do consoleshandhelds doesn't mean they'll go out of their way to buy your shit on their mobile

Silly Square Enix

There is nothing wrong with porting 1 to 6 on iOS and Android. And they will be done with that very soon.

yeah... since not all people can play ff 1-6 before, and right now we can say that a lot of people have smartphones, and that gives them an opportunity to play those games.

There is no way in hell you could consider iOS or Android gaming devices, or smartphones in general. As a guy who actually owns an iPhone I absolutely hate it when somebody considers one a legit gaming device. They're firetrucking apps, not actual games.

Unless you run emulators on it, but that is a difrent story.

Technically the Xbox One is an all-in-one entertainment system.

I don't see an issue with the early games, as it's hard to find the games and the systems these days. But putting FFX and who knows what else on iOS is completely redundant and there is no reason for it. There are still some copies out there, you can import the international version easily, and there's an HD collection on the way. They're even putting Dragon Quest on there which looks like a downgrade from the first version.I wonder when they'll realize that they'll hit the jackpot when they make an FFVII HD collection with FFVII remade.

I wouldn't consider it a console but it does have some fun games on it. I prefer the more simple games over the ones that are trying to be like console games. My favorite is The Sandbox :)

You can get every FINAL FANTASY game on the PlayStation Store except for the ones on PS3 and 11 and 12.

Another reason why iOS editions are redundant.
