  1. 1. When playing a game you have never tried before, in which difficulty do you usually play?

    • I usually try the hardest option.

    • I go with the standard mode.

    • I chose the easy one, so once I'm used to the game, I play it in a harder mode.

    • Depends on the game I'm playing.

Easy one, then harder.

the medium difficulty

HARD all the way!

Usually normal because it's brand new to me and I don't my bottom kick unless I want a challenge...

Hardest option, i may start a normal difficulty save file if it proves too difficult though. But i chose Proud mode for KH3D and it worked out fine. It was critical that was pretty hard. xD

Critical badass hard mode!!!

Normal for the initial run unless it's a sequel where I know what to expect, and then the harder difficulties for multiple playthroughs.

If its a Final Fantasy or other game I think looks at least somewhat difficult I'll play on standard.

If its a game like Spongebob or another game that looks like its more playful then I'll play on a harder difficulty

Traditionally I start on the 'normal' or 'medium' difficulty then tackle the harder levels after I'm more familiar with the game, but I may be changing that.

It depends- if it's a Kingdom Hearts game I always choose the toughest difficulty available; any other game I choose the easiest difficulty xDx

normal.

Depends on the game and if it has multiple difficulty choices.

I do easy one first, then standard, and then hard mode

I always do easy ones on all games except for KH.

It depends. If it is a harder game and only has like 2/3 difficulty options I might choose easy for my first run through.

Usually Standard. Especially KH, since I magically thought that all the KH games would be re-released on PS3 and I'd beat 'em on Proud there.

If it's a JRPG or any number of turn-based games, I almost always side with Easy or Medium.

If it's an action game I care about, I try it on the hardest. The Arkham games are a good example of that. If it's just one I'm hoping to breeze through, I go with easier difficulties.

Standard

Normal because I like a challenge but not a hard one.

usually standard mode, but if it's a game with contents (gameplay etc) that are 100% new to me maybe I choose easy mode like I did with DmC (first dmc I've ever played)

I had to play 358/2 Days on easy because it was a difficult game imo

in case of BbS and DDD I chose proud mode because of the Secret Ending

so it depends on the game which mode I choose

I usually start with standard modes, or modes that focus heavily on the story first, then work my way up.

My boyfriend is the one that always starts hard and then works his way down. 0.0

I ususally go for the hardest

Depending on the game, I might choose either Easy or Standard. Picking Difficult on the first try is just bonkers!

Sometimes, it depends... But usually I go with standard

i normally do easy, cause i'm bad at video games. if i get a game, it's for they story, not the gameplay
