My parents weren't big on punishment.

Their disappointment was enough for me.

depends, I'm not going to kill myself if they ask me to do it :O

Yes, I usually obey my grandparents because they love me and because they are wise. I love my grandparents, they have always treated me with kindness and shared their wisdom with me. ^_^  I also think you should try to respect your elders.

Another Option: I've never really had rules to follow, I've always been given a lot of freedom to do with what I like.  I've never even been grounded ever

If I don't there's a reason and they most of the time come around sooner or later.

Depends on what subject xP

I obey my parents often, and sometimes I technically obey my parents orders. But yeah, I generally obey my parents.

I don't even want to think of the consequences >.<

I have to if i want to stay alive....seriously...

Most of the time, unless it's something really important to me that my parents don't understand and that I also believe there is nothing morally wrong with (ex. That time when I was 15 and my dad blew up at me because he found out I was talking to strangers online...You can see I obviously stopped that.)

If they tell me to do something, I usually do it. If I don't, consequences will be had, depending on what it is. Not doing my chores for a day? They can live with that. Bad grade on a test because I didn't study? Maybe a bit of a scolding, and that's it, really. Doing something when they explicitly said no or without their permission is when I start getting grounded or whatever.

Yeah, I'm pretty close with my family so I'll usually obey, mainly the time I don't is when I forget but even then I don't get a severe consequence. My mum just tells that I should've remembered and she tells me not to forget next time or to do it right then.

Yep. I mean, they raised and gave me the things I needed/wanted in life so I owe them my respect. Plus I know they are trying to do what's best for me. Sometimes I may do something differently because I find it better but I still obey them. Even now when I'm at an age where I can decide for myself I still obey their rules....though some may not apply anymore xD
