Posted December 3, 201311 yr I'm undecided on it. There are alot of technical questions, is it going to drop it on my roof since GPS isn't perfectly accurate? Am i held liable of my dog humps it to death?
December 3, 201311 yr THIS IS THE START OF THE FUTURE! Im kind of excited about this. But yeah, I can already imagine that there will be some problems with this. Technology doesnt always mean better.
December 3, 201311 yr I would not use it at first, see how things work out with it. If it is successful I'll give it a go, but honestly prime already is great for 2 day delivery, 30 minutes isn't that big of a deal to me.
December 3, 201311 yr I'm on the fence about it as well, I rather wait it out and see how things go with other customers.
December 3, 201311 yr The World Ends With Drones Whell, this certainly is interesting. I'm not really sure if I would use it. Thirty minutes is pretty fast, though.
December 3, 201311 yr The concept is pretty neat but it's still years away from actually happening. The FAA needs to approve measures and guidelines for unmanned aircraft/drones which probably won't happen till 2015. Plus lots of technical things could happen like if the drone crashes to a window or car... or if someone tries to steal the drone?
December 3, 201311 yr I'd imagine hillbillies would start shooting them down and stealing the packages.
December 3, 201311 yr Sounds stupid. I'd rather trust my packages with a mailman, an actual human, who knows what they're doing and politely brings it to your door, knocking and waiting to hand you the package. If you're not home, they'll try the next day, or leave a note detailing where to pick it up. A drone, however, could drop and damage the package at some point, could be shot down, doesn't have the set mind or abilities to notify you of your package drop, and just leaves it there even if you're not home, leaving it there to get stolen. Luckily, it appears the drones are just optional. This drone thing's almost as big of a joke as the 2DS (which I own) was for Nintendo.
December 3, 201311 yr I'd imagine hillbillies would start shooting them down and stealing the packages. That was the first thing I thought: target practice with prizes. I'll be sitting in my backyard with my bow everyday when this starts
