Hey Gamespot actually did something right for once!

I didn't even know that game existed.But I'd have to disagree on the basis that Zelda is one of those series that were put on life support like Mario and literally nothing new has come from it lately, even though I haven't played it.

This is an award from one site not the VGX award that as far as I know GTA 5 got it

 

Also,have you even played a Zelda game except of Ocarina of Time 3D???

 

Because not everyone has to follow your taste and standards,you can go to another site that rewarded The Last of Us with Game of the Year title

My brother is playing and he said it is amazing. Everything about it is wonderful. I have never played a Zelda game myself, but if it got a "94" on Metacritic or something like that, at least its safe to say that it is good.

 

Also it is a sequel to an old game, A Link to the Past. That game came out so many years ago.

Most reviewers are paid to leave those reviews or they're biased to the series. If their reviews are legit they have a child's understanding of narrative complexity and what would make a good game.

 

But as I said, I haven't played it myself nor am I a fan of the Zelda series, so my opinion is most likely very invalid.

HA! Coming from the guy who couldn't beat Ocarina of Time. You've clearly never played nor beaten any Zelda games to know how great they are. Zelda games like Skyward Sword, Twilight Princess, Link To The Past, Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask. Minish Cap, and now Link Between Worlds are very GOTY worthy. You just don't see them as a great games because you never experienced how great they are. You should really finish OoT before saying what game is GOTY and what game isn't.

I don't like Orania of Time. I don't like puzzle games. I tried to play it, it was so horrible so I just watched a playthrough of OoT but it was still unenjoyable. I respect it's place in video game history but I don't like it.

Well if you aren't very good at the puzzles then why didn't use the Sheikah Stone that's located in front of Link's house lol? The sheikah stone is very useful and gives you really good hints on what to do next and how to solve puzzles.

Man today's generation....they don't like to figure their way out but instead prefer walking down a hallway
