I believe I read it off-hand in one of the interviews.  No need to facepalm--it's not a tidbit that was at the forefront of things.

...Are we facepalming cause this is well known by the majority of people who call themselfves a KH fan?

You're putting deleted content back in the game? Okay.

well it is not lost forever, some of them are lost..but not all of them. 

 

if I'm not misunderstood with the interviews, it is true that all the original assets of KH is lost, so they ripped back information, cutscenes, sound etc. from the KH cd and use the info and make the game from scratch.
