At least, well-adjusted and sane people do.  If you don't, it's an indicator that you will one day die cold and alone (sorry, but it's the truth).

 

After recent *cough cough* controversies about the franchise, I felt it'd do us some good to remind ourselves why we hang out in this section: we love Final Fantasy.  Not necessarily the whole series (I've never met anyone who's played and/or enjoyed every single game with Final Fantasy in the title, nor do I want to), but if we're here, then we most likely have at least one game in the franchise that we love to bits.

 

This topic is for sharing fond memories of our experiences playing these games.  It can be general or specific, recent or nostalgic.  You can talk about having fun with the gameplay or the triumph you felt over beating a certain boss.  You can talk about a certain piece of music, a gorgeous piece of scenery, walking through a favored town/dungeon.  You can talk about certain quirks of yours--certain party, job, or ability combinations that you liked to stick to.  You can talk about key moments of the game that tugged at your heartstrings.

 

Note that I specified fond memories for a reason--this is NOT the place to bash on a game or a character or any of Squeenix's decisions that you disagree with.  This is a place of love.  Spread it.

 

I cry like a baby every time I see Zacks death. I love that guy .

Final fantasy 7 was my favorite. I loved the characters, and I had a lot of fun trying to beat all the weapons

Anyway I really enjoyed FF1-10. That was back when Final Fantasy was in its prime.

I've yet to complete a FF game but the music still does wonders for me ^^ Especially this piece, To Zanarkand.

The entire Crisis Core game was just beautiful. I felt a connection to almost every character, and it brought some major feels at the end. The music in the game was awesome too. Also, I'll never forget the opening cutscene either where Zack is on top of the train.

I still have a lot of fond memories with Final Fantasy regardless of the recent controversies.

 

That moment when Cecil and Kain leaves Baron with the main theme of Final Fantasy playing..........I dunno about you,but that moment was awesome just because of the music..........LOVE YOU NOBOU UEMATSU

 

Zack's death in Crisis Core made me cry like a baby and made me so emotionally attached to Zack and admire him as a character.....and that theme that plays when you fight the endless onslaught of Shin-ra soldiers....it just adds to all of it it was amazing

 

 

The battle against Sephiroth was epic only because of the theme "One-Winged Angel"

 

Terra's theme and Dancing Mad from FF6.............I LOVE YOU NOBOU UEMATSU I CAN'T SAY THAT ENOUGH TIMES

 

 

Overall,I still love Final Fantasy even if the recent title was bad,that doesn't mean I can't play the old titles and endlessly enjoy the days of old

MY FAVORITE FINAL BOSS THEME EVER!!

FFIX. Everything about FFIX. Especially Zidane. He was my favorite protagonist long before the end of the game but when he went back to save Kuja, I lost it and I surrendered my heart to him. Now I love him and not in a sexual way, no...he's too amazing to be the target of my filthy animal instincts but in a way I can't even define.

 

Then there's Vivi who's just everything you could ever want in anyone, anything, anywhere, anyhow. 

 

Long live FFIX. Forever may you reign as King of All Fantasies.

I love FFX so much that I still have not been able to bring myself to play FFX-2. I probably never will.

First time playing through FFX was such a journey that I will always hold close to my heart. Hopefully FFXV brings back Final Fantasy

Actually,Shinra was more of a main enemy than Sephiroth in my opinion

I've played Crisis Core and Final Fantasy III, both amazing games. I've watched walkthroughs of most of the other games in the series.

In my opinion, Final Fantasy XII was great, the soundtrack was beautiful and the dialog between characters was brilliant.

I love me some XIII, XIII is what got me back into the Final Fantasy world after playing X/X-2 and Crisis Core back in the day.

I still remember the first time I finally beat Final Fantasy IV. Everyone was either dead or dying, and Zeromus was prepping his signature attack. Just before he used it, BAM, Kain kills him with Jump. Best win ever.

 

Also, all of Final Fantasy VI. Seriously, it's my favorite traditional RPG ever (I don't consider Pokemon traditional since it changes the formula a lot). Everything about it was just amazing.

That's what I meant but it was a developing concept that I should have gotten sooner.
