i was watching the rest of the blue exorcist anime on my wii u,  and once i got done my mii popped up from the bottom right corner of the gamepad with an angry expression and said "You've been browsing for two hours now!". That pissed me off so much. Nintendo, I bought your console that wasn't doing very well at all. The least you can do is stop trying to be my parent.

If you don't like reminders that you've done something for more than 2 hours, I'd stay away from EarthBound.

its with a ton of their newer games, and i hate it. You play one round of wii sports club and it tells you you've been playing for too long. I've played earthbound and it bugged me but since it was an older game i gave it a pass.

I haven't used my Wii U enough to even run into anything like that.

WTF... And people wonder why Nintendo is targeted at a much younger audience. Leave it to the parents stupid Nintendo.

Lol.

lol it got pissed at you for browsing for 2 hours? if i used my system for browsing then i would get my mii mad all the time lol

Hahaha That's cute. Never got that message before.

I just don`t mind it, I get it all the time when I play 3DS. although... it wouldn`t hurt to not brows as much.

but it`s just a suggestion.

My mii's always happy to tell me that. He's sad if I'm not doing shit, but he loves it when I spend two hours on the internet.

Honestly if your mii's giving you an angry face, you made it wrong. It's your own fault, plus you're getting upset with something that is easily ignored. I say this is an overreaction.

Fool. The parents are obviously not doing it has Nintendo has to give a reminder. We do spend too much time on electronics. If Nintendo wants to help the world out a little, then why not?

Right, because if kids won't listen to parents, they'll listen to a electronic device. Hahaha no.

You can easily ignore that y'know and they put things like that because parents can't stop bitching and parents are too stupid to read manuals

My 3DS tells me to take a rest after each hour and I just ignore it so it's not something big

If you're buying the Wii U just because you felt petty for Nintendo because it wasn't selling, then I suggest you return it and get a Ps4 instead

Because I never bought a game console just because I felt petty towards a company

You're making something small and stupid into a serious matter

Oh right, because you edited it after I said that. Try again.

All I'm saying is I don't see why they should when It's not like the entire install base is children only. Again, if some kids aren't willing to listen to their parents, they definitely won't listen to a device.

Not trying to take the warning message that serious, I'm simply surprised they went even further with the "take a rest" type of message to browsing the internet. As well as seeing how people (like on FB, blogs, etc) should take a few seconds to see why other people/media see Nintendo for kids. (Of course, I don't but I can see why others would think otherwise, and this doesn't help the cause but whatever, I digress.)

Fool. Read the post you quoted. It's the same thing. All I did was fix the grammar.

What you're saying still doesn't have to do with what I said. Before and after the edit. Try again.

Try again with reading. How does it have nothing to do with it? They can help as much as they want with that message, but face reality; most kids will not bother. That's what I'm saying. Not my problem if you see it has nothing to do with it, I can't put it to simpler terms.

I don't see what's so wrong with this. At least it isn't like EarthBound where it stops EVERYTHING you're doing just for that message. :/ You can just ignore this and move on, not like it's forcing you to stop.

Somebody has to make a big deal out of nothing somehow. xD

Never knew Nintendo products did this....

I'm not making a big deal out of it I just said it irritated me geez

Yeah right

But you do realize that if you turned Parental Control off from the option menu those message won't pop up anymore or at least as often

The reason we thought you made a big deal is when you said "I bought your stuff that isn't doing well at all"

As if you bought your Wii U out of pity for Nintendo instead of buying it to play games

My Ps3 tells me to consult a doctor before playing every single time I turn it on(the message when you start your ps3)

My PSP tells me to consult a doctor every time I play a Ps1 game cuz seizure and whatever

So why it's fine for Sony to do it but it's a crime if Nintendo does it??

It's very standard stuff for the industry even the kinect tells me to take a break

You do realize that parents exist in this world and they'll flood the companies inboxes with endless mails about why they didn't include a warning in their gameconsole
