Since Square Enix already announced that KH3 will be the end to the Xehanort saga, Sora will need to save everyone Ansem has caused hurt to. Which would also include Aqua, Ventus, and Terra. How do you think this would work out because in order for Ventus to return wouldn't Sora have to lose at least part of his heart?

 I don't really think Terra will be saved but I am pretty positive about Aqua . Ventus' heart resides in Sora's heart . As far as I know ( I might be wrong on this one) , Ventus' heart is not an actual part of Sora's which means that if the protagonists manage to "save" Ventus , Sora won't get hurt and all that stuff . If Aqua "wakes Ventus up" , his heart will probably automatically "travel" inside him . But Flaming Lea should explain this better .

I think Aqua will be saved by Lea, because he can use the Corridors of Darkness still, allowing him easy travel between worlds, including the Realm of Darkness.Terra might not be saved until the end of the game, probably the same way he saves Ventus.Ventus will probably be saved by the Key to Restore Hearts (is that what it's called?) that Nomura talked about, the one that they are hunting for in KH3.

Sora won't lose a piece of his heart, he'll lose Ven's heart which he has been harboring but will be returning to it's rightful owner.  As such he will lose the ability to duel wield.

 

My guess was

Lea goes to RoD (or all led by Lea, just his phrase "Dark rescue is my middle name" feels like it's hinting to me) to get Aqua, big battles and all there

Aqua takes them to Castle Oblivion and finds Ven, big battle most like there too

Aqua, Mickey or Riku as a master should be able to unlock Sora's heart to free Ven

This process will probably end up releasing Roxas and Xion simultaneously.  

I've assumed, that considering the heartless and nobody were destroyed and we saw MX in his original form, that Terra himself is in his original form, just unconscious/incapacitated.  I assumed eventually everyone will end up at the Keyblade graveyard, Terra's body in hand, and his lingering will will be there and there'll be some sort of reaction either it fights, or the proximity gives Terra his consciousness back.

Boom full house.

Here's how I want the order of their saving to go;

 

• Sora & Riku travel to the Realm of Darkness, find Aqua, & then bust her out of there (no pun intended.)
• Sora, Riku, the Lingering Will & Aqua have another battle with Terra-Xehanort, & if they win properly, Terra gets his body back.
• Sora unlocks Ventus's heart to him while both Terra & Aqua witness.

Sora won't lose a piece of his heart since his heart wasn't merged with Ven's. Ven's heart was separate from Sora's and only sought healing and refuge.

 

Once Aqua is rescued ( most likely by Lea and friends) she can finally help bring back Ven with others by leading them to him in CO.

 

As for Terra, we don't know his exact fate except to know MX somehow has him as his vessel. We see MX return as the old man but that could mean several things :

 

1- It's Terra's body with MX's heart overpowering and consuming Terra's and since the heart shapes the vessel he appears as the old man .

 

2-It's Terra's body but his heart escaped leaving only MX's heart in charge thus the appearance of the old man .

 

3- For whatever reason,Terra did reform separately from the old man but is still under his control as a vessel .

 

I think one way Terra can possibly be saved is to have Riku or Sora help battle in Terra's heart station to beat MX and free him from MX's grasp..If his heart escaped like in option 2 they could also fight to free Terra's body so his heart could return

There are so many plausible theories about rescuing Terra that I honestly don't know which one is the most likely. However, there are 2 points which I am certain of.

 

1) Part of Terra is still under Master Xehanort's control.

Mickey: "...there's me, Sora, and Riku, and my three lost friends..."

Terra, Aqua, and Ventus are Mickey's "three lost friends," as evidenced by earlier parts of the conversation. As for the "[other] on [the] list," MX already mentioned Sora, Riku and Mickey are clearly free, and we know where Aqua and Ventus are. Thus, he must be referring to Terra. Terra-Xehanort might be one of the hooded vessels whose face we never saw, he may be referring to the fact that Xemnas possesses Terra's physical body, or it may be something else.

This was basically spelled out for us in Re:Coded. However, it was NOT mentioned in a cutscene.

I think I remember Xehanort saying something along the line of "the reckless/misguided youth who became my vessel" in regard to Terra.

Just because its the end of the Xehanort Saga doesn't necessarily mean that everyone will be saved. There is always the possibility that someone won't be saved or have to give themselves up to save others

Yea, it IS Nomura so anything's possible and anything could happen. I just think that it would be a great plot twist for somebody to have to sacrifice themselves for the party

For me, I want to see some happy endings for several characters who have suffered so much already .It's about time considering the long time span these events took place in . There already has been quite a lot of sacrificing throughout the series . That's nothing new .

Interesting, sure. Confirmed ? Not so much . Like Nomura said - Terra's fate is a deliberate mystery .Not to say it's wrong , just not confirmed by any means
