I really don't like her other costumes in the FF XIII games especially in Lightning Returns.  They just don't really fit her aside from her first costume from the first game because it really fits with her personality and "former soldier" attitude. The outfit in XIII-2 was alright because it at least showed she was a warrior of Etro. But I HATE her outfit in Lightning Returns because it just looks so unfitting and doesn't look like there was much effort put into designing new clothes for her for the third installment of the XIII series. I don't like alk the other fanservice costumes she gets in LR either. They don't really fit her at all imo (Well maybe except for the Soldier First-Class costume). LR just looks like a game full of fanservice and pointless sidequests and imo ruined her character because she was cool in the first game.

That's weird, I personally think the Soldier First Class costume is the least fitting. Her standard-outfit is imo really good, it fits the role she's playing now. I also don't get why so many people are upset about the "Fanservice" outfits, afaik they're just optional. If I remember correctly they said you can combine everything with everything, so why being upset about something like a Neko-Suit... These are just costumes, they don't say anything about her personality. Her actions and decisions are what makes her Lightning, not her Top, Bra, Skirt, Thong or whatever, srsly.

Also, the Cloud and Lara Croft Outfits are the most fanservice-ish costumes in the game.

But you don't need logic in order to have another character's costume

In a game where playstyle is determined by the outfit, there's bound to be a number that don't suit but match their playstyle.

The more you play in the same outfit you just get used to it.  Like I did with the Black Mage one.

 

The only ones I really have an issue with is the ones that make her look like a cheap whore.  There.  I said it.  

 

She went from a strong independent woman (who don't need no man) with a tomboyish style that generally was pulled feminine primarily by her pink coloured hair, to "please ejaculate over my boobies"  skimpy outfits and "Treat me like a Bratz Passion for Fashion game".  Honestly if you're gonna have DLC outfits cuztomize them so they suit her, or change her hair colour (like Aerith's, pink hair + full pink highly feminine outfit... Not Lightning at all)

Next game we get we'll be able to customize her make up with glitter and matte finishes and put lash extensions on with contouring so it doesn't even look like her face anymore

People don't like the fanservive in LR because it feels like it's getting more attention than the actual story and gameplay. Plus, most of the costumes she gets don't really fit her imo.

True but I also don't like how we need to do pointless side quests just to gain experience and level up. That's just a stupid idea.

I was playing the demo and I saw the Dragoon outfit so then I got really turned on and interested in the game but then I gave up cause I couldn't find Snow plus all my outfit's AP won't go back up :sad: I'm not very good at the game

I disliked her outfits outside of FFXIII. It was her best clothing equipment and it wasn't over the top like in FFXIII-2 and LR:FFXIII.

Jeez it's not like Square desperately tried to pile on the fanservice so people who are stupid enough to fall for it would buy their game or anything

At least that garb is in the game. I got rid of it quick because it's weak compared to some garbs available in the stores around Nova Crysallis. Her character isn't ruined, in fact, she's the same Lightning as ever.

 

 

Hiding her true emotions and saving souls for Bhunivelze's new world as a bargain to regain Serah back in her life (again).

 

 

Then again, you can't please everyone with what you do...someone's gonna whine and cry doom upon it...
