My early impressions? This game is underrated. So far everything's been great except that the 13 days concept is extremely worrying. I'd like to explore and complete quests whenever I feel like it. Sure I'm only up to the second day, but already I'm worried I'm going to run out of time. Installing game data and the gear from XIII and XIII-2 are pretty awesome although I'm still wondering how powerful they're. I'll write a review after our spoiler policy ends on March 18.

How have you been finding the difficulty? Reviewers say that even the normal mode is pretty hard. They're probably noobs though.

No issues so far. Just the days concept is worrying...

The 13 day time limit is pretty annoying.  It feels like an unnecessary pressure, especially when trying to do side quests.

I already know I'm gonna fail. I'm even doing EASY MODE and I've only gotten 1 extra day. It's day 5 and I have 3 days left. I just can't seem complete enough quests. It would have also been nice to be able to return to the Ark whenever I pleased, so I'd have time to think about my next move.

I'm tempted to buy this, but since I hated the first game and haven't played the second...I'll just wait until it's, like, twenty dollars five years from now or something.

Just do the main quests first. Also, be careful. Day 7 is when all the main quest bosses get powered up by alot, and makes it harder. Just do Wildlands and Dead dunes first, since they have more enemies, and spam cronostasis, so you can refill your GP faster. Also GP boosters help ALOT.

The Ark returns is annoying as hell and not handled well imo.I also cannot for the life of me figure out why I am unable to edit my schema. I only get the 3 option pause menu. If its because Imndking a quest then fml.

I think its handled well. You just have to know how to handle your time well. Just focus the days before day 7 on the 5 main quests alone, using Cronostasis when you need it. I usually end up finishing the main quests right before 6 AM. Just use Cronostasis and conserve your EP if you get really close to 6 AM during a main quest, thats what i do, If all else fails, restart on Easy mode. That will help.

 

Uh, the "Customize Schema" option isn't available in the start menu. To get to the menu for items, quest info, schema changing, Etc., PRESS TRIANGLE IN THE OVERWORLD.

Oh yeah definitely. Just focus on beating the main quests first of all. After that you should focus your time into side quests and canvas prayer quests. Use videos for those ones, since they might be hard without it. Thats my plan. I beat the Luxerion and Yusnaan quests right now, and am gonna do Dead dunes next.

 

Also a tip, micromanage. Lets say the main quest in Yusnaan can't be started until like 18:00(which actually happens). Don't waste your time waiting around doing nothing for that time to pass. Go onto another continent that has a main quest available right away, like Dead Dunes or Wildlands. Im not saying go and completely finish them off right away, just start them, and when it gets close to 18:00, head back to Yusnaan. You'll have a head start on the other continent you chose, and it'll help you later on. There's a reason this game is non linear.

I found that out earlier today and felt like an idiot...
