something really really disturbing about ansems final form <:(

Posted

.while i was fighting ansem's world of chaos form i noticed something quite grotesque at first i didn't really notice but upon further inspection i noticed that the guardians "RIB-CAGE" was open at first i thought "OMG HOW CAN YOU PUT THIS IN A KIDS GAME?" then i noticed you can see the muscle that's underneath the skin "in detail" then just when i thought it was over i noticed "again" ansems spine was out in the open for children of all ages to see......"IN HD" also i notice "yet again" guardian has bahamuts face from ff10 "HOW COULD I HAVE NOT NOTICED THIS IN MY CHILDHOOD"...

What you call disturbing, Ansem the Wise calls fanservice

Me the whole time reading this, "WHATS A GUIDIAN!".

Um, how about an image pointing out exactly what you mean, because I can't really tell what you're talking about other than ribcages and "HOW IS THIS A KID'S GAME!!??" over and over again?

World of Chaos (the name of Ansem's final form) is indeed... disturbing. But it kind of goes along with a common theme of strange and disturbing final/boss battles in RPG's. Like Giygas, who resembled a fetus. Or literally any Final Fantasy boss ever.

how can kingdom hearts be for kids....while i was fighting ansems world of chaos form i noticed something quite grotesque at first i didn't really notice but upon further inspection i noticed that the guardians "RIBCAGE" was open at first i thought "OMG HOW CAN YOU PUT THIS IN A KIDS GAME?" then i noticed you can see the muscle that's underneath the skin "in detail" then just when i thought it was over i noticed "again" ansems spine was out in the open for children of all ages to see......"IN HD" also i notice "yet again" guardian has bahamuts face from ff10 "HOW COULD I HAVE NOT NOTICED THIS IN MY CHILDHOOD"...

Ansem's spine? His spine doesn't show. His back looks normal, so I don't know what you're talking about

o ok. why do your posts always start with ?

Yours is the only one on the entire site that does it lol

Kingdom hearts isn't really intended for kids though.

''Regardless of age ratings, Tetsuya Nomura once said in an interview that Kingdom Hearts is actually not aimed at children. Justifying this not just includes a complex story but also brutal killing scenes, extremist-like villain motives, themes of depression, and more.

 • Doesn't help that there's no blood and gore, so people don't think it's that violent. Yes, removing some red stuff when someone gets stabbed in the chest or has their eye shot off automatically makes those scenes less violent and more kid-friendly, right?'''

Other games are also rated PG but are intended for adults.

''players were upset at the move to do the same for Rome 2, feeling something aesthetic such as blood and gore should have been included with the game in the first place.

As one user on NeoGAF put it: "Is this what it's come to?? Really? We can't even have proper blood and gore in our video games as standard any more?''

We asked The Creative Assembly to clarify the decision to charge for blood and gore as post-launch DLC, and were told it was down to securing a PG age-rating for the main game. As you can see from the video below, the Blood Pack carries a 18+ rating.''

The reason? PG rating = More sales

Okay, WAAAAAAAAY too small of an image man. But either way, I have seen the final boss, I've beaten the game many times, and I never had an issue with how he appeared, and I'm the guy who is uncomfortable with anatomy to begin with. If I didn't find issue with this, than I doubt anyone else did either, let alone a bunch of kids. If being inside the innards of a giant space whale didn't get to you, I don't see how this could.

i didn't really notice it at first either okay but if you look at ansem's guardian in the world of chaos his ribcage is sticking out of his chest and his spine is completely exposed

Ansem's Final Form is awesome. It is dark and creepy and epic, which makes him more awesome. And he has a badass ship to back him up while he attacks Sora. Need I say more??? And dude, just because KH has Disney in it doesn't make it a kids game. Just pay attention to plot details, and notice all the backstabbing and brutal cruelty of 358/2 Days and Birth By Sleep's moments. So what I'm trying to say here is that even though there's no blood and gore, Kingdom Hearts is dark, as some of Disney movies are actually. (OmG, Hunchback of Notre Dame is a dark Disney movie, and I love it for that reason!)

Okay, well that would have been disturbing if it had happened to a regular character like Sora or Tarzan...and NOT the final boss's ship of destruction. It's not that big of a deal, not to me anyway. Not even the organic looking heart/core of the ship. Now if the entire ship had internal organs like a stomach or brain exposed, THAT would be disturbing. But bones? Those are the least scary parts of the body. It doesn't really make much of a difference to me whether his spine is showing or not, it's all a design choice.

Meh, whatever. I'm sure it would be more disturbing if encountered in real life. But in a game? I think I just have final boss fever by that point, I'm so focused on trying to take him down and save the world that things like how frightening he looks doesn't really register to me at that time.

Though I have not yet seen this character as I've yet to take on the long string of final bosses, going by this image I don't see anything disturbing and honestly when you described this concern as being inappropriate for children I was thinking you'd point out something more...X rated if you catch drift. xD Sorry I have quite a mature mind. Thus not seeing the disturbance in protruding ribcages and spines, at least on a video game character so I don't expect it's exactly gruesomely detailed. But I also did not play KH for the first time on the PS2 as a child, I was at least 14 (the age I was when I met the friend who helped me out to learn it).
