Actually sounds like it could make some interesting drama in the group

It's not like they ever actually kill anyone off permanently in this series.

Interesting but I doubt Disney will allow that

First, a question: WHY?????

And second, my answer to your question: NO! PLEASE NO! If someone's gonna die, have it be (a) a KH original or (b) a Disney character who dies in their original story anyway. But PLEASE, not Yen Sid!

That rather implies that Xehanort is competent enough to pull off killing the greatest sorcerer on the street.

Also, I don't really see the need, plotwise. I get the idea of trying to raise the stakes by making Xehanort an actual potent physical threat, but really, the death of Yen Sid would only accomplish racking up a body count, rather than having any kind of dire effect on the story. It's like killing a straw man to try and convince people your character is tough.

I agree that it wouldn't bear much plot weight. Angst, yes, relevance, no. Yen Sid is basically an advisor-type character. Now killing Master Eraqus, that drove the plot forward. While the closest we've seen to Yen Sid saving anyone is him sending someone else to do the saving, Master Eraqus could have seriously impacted the events in the Keyblade Graveyard that occurred after his death, as well as Terra's emotional state.

Yen Sid would need to somehow have a more active role or play a larger part in the plot for killing him to have a purpose besides angst.

He will be bored to death.

First Goofy now Yen Sid....sheesh all of Mickey's homies are getting offed. No but really I wanna see that happen and have Yen Sid become part of the 'Star Council" or whoever he consults then we get a new Star Whisperer also Yen Sid should give Star Seeker to someone or have Mickey do it in KH3 or next saga. Maybe give it to Zexion
