March 13, 201411 yr That's a fate worse then hell, my friend. I'm so so sorry. Maybe we can get Oprah to bring it back.

March 13, 201411 yr They're just a white modern version of Kenan and Kel. I said it. The only similarity is that its two teenagers who get up to antics, which is the blueprint for every nickelodeon show ever.
March 13, 201411 yr The only similarity is that its two teenagers who get up to antics, which is the blueprint for every nickelodeon show ever. One is heavy set and the other is skinny. The skinny one is less than intelligent while the heavy one tends to be smarter. There is a little sister who tends to be rude to the teenagers. I actually can't think of too many nickelodeon shows centered around two teenagers getting into antics together. Maybe a few with more than two, but perhaps I'm forgetting some.

There's one now called Sam and Cat which, as the title suggests, is about Sam and Cat. A fat guy and a skinny guy is outrageously common in comedy. Blues Brothers, for instance. So is a not-so-smart/smart guy combo. A meddling sibling is also something common in a lot of shows aimed at this demographic.
March 13, 201411 yr Hey I am mad they took NEEDLESS off of Netflix in September. Pains me, but luckily I have it on DVD.
March 13, 201411 yr Netflix has this weird habit of removing Soul Eater, then putting it back up two weeks later. It's getting to the point where I'm not even going to worry anymore the next time they lose it. Doesn't seem like they'll ever bring back Naruto, though.

Hmmmmm, I can give you iCarly aside from Drake and Josh and Kenan and Kel being guys which does make them more similar than iCarly is to them. Plus Drake and Josh and Kenan and Kel didn't really have a 3rd wheel at all. I know nothing about Sam and Cat so I have no argument Well they did reference Blue's Brothers in Drake and Josh, and while it may be common in comedy, your statement was about nickelodeon which Blue's Brothers is not a part of For the record, I love Drake and Josh and overall I think it's made me laugh more than Kenan and Kel did. Though I did enjoy both. I was making a joke when comparing the two, though they do have uncanny similarities to each other as opposed to comparing them to other nick shows. I think they only did that once but they removed everything nickelodeon for some reason last year, i was halfway through my spongebob season 1-3 nostalgia boner and they left me hangin'. Drake and Josh used to be there though. Edited March 13, 201411 yr by Christopher Sexbang

It's still a show focused primarily on two teen protagonists. I wasn't really saying Nickeloden, I was referring how it's common in comedy for a fat guy/thing guy combo, which is what Kenan and Kel and Drake and Josh were both going for. I.E: Not something that's evidence of the two shows being tied together, but evidence that that combination is rooted in comedy. And I won't deny that. They do have similarities. I just don't want someone to dismiss D&J without evaluating its own merits.

But I'd say they have quite a few similarities too. I mean Drake and Josh were step-brothers while Kenan and Kel were just friends. Kenan cared far more about money than Josh ever would and Drake and Josh's humor was probably far less random and "simple" than Kenan and Kel's tended to be. But honestly their similarities probably stem from being produced by the same guy. Although he has produced many nick teen shows. But of all of them, I'd say they probably have the most similarities to each other, compared to the rest of his shows. Just like a lot of his recent ones have a different humor than his old ones did.

Of course, I haven't been on Netflix much recently, since I've been watching more Naruto lately so I might've missed out on it. All of my Netflix time lately has been devoted to nostalgia time with Pokemon's Indigo League season.

I still like the first few seasons, mostly due to nostalgia properly. They don't feel as annoying as the new ones, though. The movies were pretty cool, too, especially the first four. I can't stand anything starting with Diamond/Pearl, though.

March 13, 201411 yr I like the entei movie still Mewtwo Strikes Back and the Lugia movie (1 and 2) will always be my favorites. I can't choose between them, both were really good. Entei would probably come after those, though.
