Do you play any of Square Enix's other franchises?

I used to think I was a Final Fantasy fan. Until I realized that most of the games in the series suck.

 

FMA is amazing though.

Well, I used to play Tomb Raider (not talking about the reboot) back on the PS1. I've also recently been getting into the Final Fantasy series. I plan to get Final Fantasy 9, 10/10-2 HD, and Final Fantasy 7 this summer.

I play some Final Fantasy games. I use to play Dragon Quest 8, but not in quite a while.

FINAL FANTASY, Dragon Quest, SaGa, Hitman, and Tomb Raider

I freaking love Dragon Quest, best traditional RPG franchise ever (I don't count Pokemon as traditional, I pretty much consider it its own subgenre). I used to like FF, now I only like a few of them (First ten except for VIII, pretty much. Not enough for me to say I like the franchise as a whole).

 

Also, pretty sure FMA's a manga/anime series... I know it had game adaptations, but I don't think it counts as a Square Enix game franchise. (Not to mention that they only publish the manga, they didn't make it themselves).

Note:Full Metal Alchemist is an animemanga that Square Enix publishes....it's not a game franchise and very very few amount of FMA games were released outside of Japan so it's really an anime franchise not a game franchise

 

Anyway,I've played KH,Final Fantasy,Star Ocean(only The Last Hope game),some Dragon Quest entries,one Mana entry and I'll mae sure to play Secret of Mana on SNES,haven't played the SaGa series yet,I've played Parasite Eve 1 and the third PE game The 3rd Birthday(I hate this game and how Toriyama shat over the story of previous games )

 

 

I play more RPGs than just Kingdom Hearts......SHOCKING isn't it?

 

 

Final Fantasy could've became my favorite franchise if only the later entries didn't suck ass like X-2,XIII and LRFFXIII

 

Sure Final Fantasy 6 is my favorite video game of all time....but FF isn't my favorite franchise if only because how Square royally screwed the series in later entries

Final fantasy, legacy of kain, and Hitman. The hitman game they made kinda sucked though. x( i still haven't finished it because it stopped feeling like a hitman game which is suppose to be stealth. Not over the top action like they made it.

Yeah, Square Enix apologized for that a couple weeks ago. They said they were trying to draw in as many new fans as possible.

I just started to get into the tomb raider series.

I like Tomb Raider and that is really it other than about 1/4 of FF7.

How come Deus Ex wasn't counted? If Tomb Raider, Hitman and Thief can make your list then shouldn't Deus Ex as well?

Wikipedia isn't a valuable source for anything and if you are going by what Wikipedia says then this is what is written on the Square Enix page,

 

Square Enix now publishes all of Eidos' IPs and runs Eidos' development studios. Eidos was most well known for publishing the Tomb Raider, Hitman, Deus Ex, and Thief series of games.

 

Deus Ex is an Eidos franchise, Eidos are owned by Square Enix. It's as much of a Square Enix franchise as Tomb Raider and the others are. Oh and Ion Storm only developed the first two games in the series, not the latter ones.

Legacy of Kain is completely unrelated to Final Fantasy. It's to do with vampires and all that gothic stuff. There hasn't been a game in the series for about 11 years.

Just the demo for Theatrhythm Final Fantasy and I'm in the middle of a playthrough of Dragon Quest VIII, but the game's pretty long.
