I was super excited for The Sims 4, because I thought that the turth about Bella Goth was finnally going to be REVEALED! If you dunno who Bella is, well you have got to be new around TS. Bella Goth is the main character and icon of The Sims 2 series. She appears in every single The Sims 2, be it spin-off or official. She was abudcted by aliens in The Sims 2, leaving hs mystery unsolved, since The Sims 3 was a prequel where she was a child, and now The Sims 4 is years, maybe before Cassandra's birth.

Even thought the Goth family has been confirmed to appear, on this picture: https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7432/14131787485_e181f126a6_z.jpg you can clearly see that Mortimer is not the way he was on The Sims 2, so The Sims 4, like The Sims 3, is indeed, a prequel.

For how long will EA keep doing this?

I loved The Sims on PS2.

She's also in the Sims 1 and Mortimer in the Sims 4 looks closer to his the Sims 1 counterpart.

Well, when I refer The Sims 2, I mean the PC version, which is the most-known and canon to the series.

The sims has a storyline...

I'm just as surprised as you! I thought the Sims was just a place to build cool houses and let out your sadistic steam on non-living beings.

it actually has a storyline, especially The Sims 2 and the games connected to that one such as The Sims 2 PSP.

^ .....and This...... I must have watched my gf play through like 100 hours of sim games and not notice even a trace of plot! haha

Ok first of all. LMAOand second, exactly.

The Sims has a story line to it? I just thought it was a game where you make your own person and make them live their life the way that you want it to be. I didn't think it actually had something to it.

You can see Bella walking around Strangetown as a townie in the Sims 2, but she has slight physical differences to the deleted (true/original) model and no memory of her family (they recreated the sim in her likeless really), it's acknowledged by developers as the same Bella and her memory loss is blamed on Aliens.  So pretty much her story was that she got abducted on Don's deck and ended up in Strangetown mind wiped with no relationships or memories.  What more is there to know?

I must be playing The Sims wrong: I never found the Goth families story, although I managed to move next door to them in The Sims 2 once.

( Beofre my house burned down from my skeleton maid knocking stuff over.. ..)

Umm, I never knew it had a storyline :/

That's really interesting though!

After reading up on it there's a Bella Goth deceased sim who has been confirmed by SimGuruSarah (developer for the game) as the same Strangetown and Pleasantview Bella.  Implying somehow Bella ended up on an alien planet and died there.

After someone asked when we'll find out what happened to her:

"She traveled to Lunar Lakes and she's a ghost in the graveyard ;-)"

She also says that Bella outlived Mortimer and moved on to a new relationship.

Sims has a timeline?

This actually sounds pretty interesting!

Haven't really been into Sims since my previous computer broke down and my game&downloads&families went with it *sniff*

I used to be interested in The mysteries in Sims 2, like the disappearance of Bella (there was also some theories about that widow in Strangeville, whose name I've forgotten). It'd be nice to get some answers finally, though I'm not sure wheter I'll buy Sims 4...
