So . . . . I cannot believe I'm doing this, but I'm thinking to purchase a Wii U.
It all started with Mario Kart 8. I was getting all psyched for it to be released, gearing up to buy it the day it came out in Gamestop, when I discovered the terrible, horrible truth:
It's only coming out for the Wii U
I don't know what rock I was living under, but somehow I didn't know this until Sora96 kindly pointed it out to me. : P After telling him that I have no interest whatsoever in purchasing a Wii U, I began to think "Hmm . . . a Wii U's not such a bad idea . . . ." And that started a terrible mental virus that isn't possible to remedy, not without sating its lust. : P
I don't have a Wii, so this would be my first Nintendo home console since, well, the Nintendo 64. Anyhow, now that I've accepted and embraced the fact that I need a Wii U, I'm trying to decide if I want to buy a new or used one. I can get a used one for about $149, whereas a new one would be pretty close to $235. Which would you do? I'm on a very tight budget, so saving pennies is definitely ideal for me. I want the console to last, but I don't mind if it's already been used a bit. Is it a terrible idea to get a used console, or have others had okay experiences with this? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
