The problem is that I haven't talked to this person in years, aka since the 8th grade, and I don't know if they will remember me or not. Plus I can't contact them anywhere else but Facebook. Then contact them on Facebook. If they want to talk to you then yippi ki yay, if they don't you are free to move on with your life. Though in lieu of recent affairs I gotta ask if you've actually talked to this person with more than 3 short sentences and were actually friends with them beforehand? If you have I can't see why they wouldn't want to reconnect and if you haven't then this will not end well...

Well to be honest, we just fell apart because we weren't able to fit into each other's lives. It's just one of those things where time went by and we just didn't see each other again. And there is another reason, because I wasn't ready to face them as just friends until now. I liked this person a lot and I didn't have time for them to be that important in my life and vice versa. And yes, this person is the same girl that I liked before Shana.

Well to be honest, we just fell apart because we weren't able to fit into each other's lives. It's just one of those things where time went by and we just didn't see each other again. And there is another reason, because I wasn't ready to face them as just friends until now. I liked this person a lot and I didn't have time for them to be that important in my life and vice versa.And yes, this person is the same girl that I liked before Shana.

Well the only way to get back into each other's lives is to talk to her, so go for it.

Well, a "hello" usually works for me, but you might want to use a "hi" if you're feeling a little eccentric that day

Don't know if this'll help but this happened to me and one of my friends, we just drifted apart after 7th grade and years later we just randomly bumped into each other while I was walking to high school it was awkward at first since we hadn't seen each other in ages but as soon as I saw him I just manned up and said "Hey man long time no see how are you?" and after that it was like we hadn't stopped talking at all.Just be calm odds are if you two were close she'd want to catch up on how you were doing too man, good luck! ^_^

Ummmmmmmm, just talk to him. It's not that complicated. Just go up and say "hi, you probably don't recognize me, but we used to hang out all the time as kids" or something like that, and a conversation will just role on from there. I really think you're just over-complicating this, it's not that big of a deal.

Sounds good. Personally I'd leave out the "I don't know if you remember me or not, but" part but it's totally up to you. If you were friends before then of course she'll remember you

Then just contact them. It ain't hard. Just say "Hi, how have you been?" The usual conversation stuff. You know, just talk!

That feels maybe a bit too formal. Just: "Hello, I saw you the other day at graduation and I thought that I haven't seen you for a very long time. How you are doing? " should be fine

and the bold part suggest that you maybe weren't that close so you might not have that much "old times" to talk about so you should be prepared to carry the conversation with new topics or else the conversation might get awkward and die off quickly. If you really want to keep this friend then you through a lot of things about yourself, hobbies, and experiences out there so you can find a common ground and get her interested in keeping your friendship alive. I wouldn't be able to pull that off but I hope you can
