Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days, Re:Coded, and DDD HD Remake?

358/2 Days and Re:coded would require full remakes. Not going to happen now.

I never said it would happen, I was just giving my idea on it. -_-

358 and Coded I can't see being remade. It'd be nice, but they kind of flubbed on that when they made 1.5. If they did, however, you've pretty much hit the nail on the head with what they'd probably do to make it work.

DDD, however, is another beast entirely. I'd love to see this as DLC or whatever, but I can't say I'm too sure it'll happen. They sprinkled some footage of it into the E3 trailer of 2.5 but I think it was more recognition that it exists in the series and less anything having to do with 2.5 itself. But who knows? I'd buy it on PSN.

From what I understand, the only reason that Days and Coded were movies was due to time constraints. If they had the time, they probably would have made those playable, too.

I think the DDD footage in the 2.5 trailer was just those new scenes in Re:Coded that they used to tie it into DDD/KHIII.

Yeah, that's exactly it. I think Nomura said in an interview somewhere that that was their original goal, but due to time constraints, they weren't able to do it. (If you look at the images they provide for some of the days in 358, there's a couple from a player's POV. Like, you're looking at Roxas from behind and he's in his combat pose as if you're actually playing the game.)

There's shots of Young Xehanort talking to Sora in the chapel from Hunchback of Notre Dame and bits of the scene where Mickey and Riku rescue Sora at the Where Nothing Gathers meeting room. It's footage from the game, but it doesn't look like they're hinting at anything more than just recognition of its existence, which is disappointing. Kind of like Square saying, "Hey, go buy this game, too!" without actually commercializing it.

I always wanted online multiplayer in Flick Rush... had only one friend to play with for that minigame... wanted to show off my Dream Eaters too :l Oh well... I think I'm the only one that enjoys your ideas about these kind of things xD I love the way you put certain key points of DDD and found a way to make them look better with just a few changes. And yes- I love the idea of these being remade to Wii U. 358/2 Days would go perfect along with 4 player online multiplayer with HD graphics and new moves to execute as well. Yup, love that idea and have been loving it ever since I played 4 player with my friends locally for the first time xD

I've kind of been hoping for the same thing, but such a project would take a lot of time and resources, most of which would probably interfere with Kingdom Hearts III's development. I think the only thing I disagree with your concept is the idea of limiting Flowmotion. I don't think it should be handicapped in the slightest. In fact, I think there should be more variety added to it, such as adding the ability to run along and up and down walls rather than just jumping all the time. Otherwise, it would be interesting to see a game like this released. If they were to tackle that challenge, I doubt it will be before Kingdom Hearts III comes out, as much as I would love it to.

As an alternative, if they were to make something else afterwards, I'd probably hope for a compilation with Dream Drop Distance, X (chi), and III as one bundle. X could finally be localized and made into whatever format they would desire for a console. But I see even less chance of that bundle happening than the other one. :/

Either way, I would like to see fully playable console versions of all of these games.  :)

Really? I missed those screenshots. It's really disappointing to think they had to cut an entire game out from the collection, cutting content isn't easy (I mean, I don't have much experience since I just made one little RPG Maker game for a class, but it sucked having to cut out some ideas to fit the time).

Oh yeah, forgot about those. Yeah, that's more likely. Maybe they'll have some sort of recap cutscene or something like that?

By limiting Flowmotion, I meant it more in the sense of the attacks. It was too easy to spam overpowered Flowmotion techniques. : Using it to get around quickly is perfectly fine, though. :D

Shots like this, for example.

That's probably it. Sucks, but oh well.

I like your idea. However, I don't like that it's on the Wii U. I would want Square to put it on a system that will have Kingdom Hearts 3 leading up to it.

I just personally felt that it would suit the Wii U better. I'd still buy it on PS3, but since Days, Re: Coded, and DDD are all Nintendo games that use two screens, I thought it would feel right at home on Wii U. Of course, a multi-platform release would be even better.
