I still think Sora and Riku never actually returned to the actual islands they lived on. We never see them there and I think the drama with their parents would probably be an interesting topic to touch upon. But it's avoided, so most likely they never returned home. Not yet, anyway.

Maybe they forgot about him after all that memory mumbo jumbo from CoM?

If Sora ever goes home, he'll be grounded & there will never be another KH game again. That's how our favorite series will end. Untill he turns 18 I guess....which shouldn't be long.

I don't think they ever will really, less they go for a touching reunion at the end of KH3.  Sora's parents (all their parents) were really nothing necessary towards the plot, hence why we never see their face, they're not worth the resources to animate.  As such there's no need to bring them into the plot to advance anything in KH other than having a hilarious moment where he gets hit with a frying pan for being late or having a touching moment.

I agree but then again, He did point out he didn't really care for actually "predicting" a "plot" and its in the random section. But yes. His parents arent going to really be a huge plot in the story.
