Early days, I know. However this seems, to me, to be the most plausible route the series may take considering a few different factors;

1 - Each main Kingdom Hearts title has had a Final Mix within a year of the original release.

2 - A HD release of Dream Drop Distance was decided against at this time because it is both a recent game (2012) and development would draw resources away from Kingdom Hearts III.

3 - Dream Drop Distance is on the table as a downloadable release or "something like that" in the future.

4 - Re:Chain of Memories was bundled with Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix in Japan, so this is something they've done before.

5 - Nomura intends to release a Kingdom Hearts game yearly if possible (at least until the "Seeker of Darkness Saga" ends).

So a Final Mix+ for Kingdom Hearts III incorporating Re:Dream Drop Distance (or just a port, or a cutscene version at least) sounds like a realistic scenario to me. If Kingdom Hearts III is released in late 2015 or early 2016, then I would expect this to appear in late 2016. By that point 3D will be four years old and the development team can focus entirely on that without impacting Kingdom Hearts III's development. And I hope, if this is the route they do go down, that the Final Mix is released internationally without a ten year wait this time.

Since I've never played Chi, I can't claim it's stupid or not.

You can tell by the videos but anyways you can easily play it since it is in the internet.

Alright, let be realistic. Every KH HD collection had one DS game on it. What happened to them? They became movies, so if anything 3D will turn into a movie too or be part of a collection pack in the far future. (3.5 probably) 3D will be hard to put into PS3 without changing gameplay. Because the 3DS has something PS3 doesn't, a touchscreen. If they do decide to release it, don't you think they would've announced it at this e3? Anyway, if 3D also was to be remastered it would take time to change and take away time from KH3. Which, is something they don't want.

it didnt stop them from making the other remix's and I just said minor adjustments to the layout wouldnt be much of an issue change the touch screen to something you could use on a ps3. and plus Nomura said he wanted all the games on one console

Well, you think what you want, but there is more against 3D being remastered than there is with it.

There wont be a KH3 Final Mix+. They could easily add in the extra features as DLC instead of wasting time and money releasing the game again

How are you watching it on an HD screen?

One more couldn't hurt as long as it had a story that tied into everything somehow, like BBS or coded.

Well the 3DS screen resolution is 400 x 200 pixels. Over the size of the 3DS display, it gives a pretty high quality picture, giving the illusion that games like KH3D are HD quality. But if you were to watch those resources blown up to a 720p or 1080p display such as that of smartphone or tablet or computer, you will see that the game is very pixelated. Go watch KH3D stuff on youtube in full screen. The quality of the game gets worse as it gets bigger, because the assets are not in HD. If it were in HD, it would look just as good on a larger screen as a smaller screen.

Another great comparison can be found by looking at the KH2.5 E3 trailer. After the portion on 2.5 and before the KH3 teaser, there are a few KH3D clips that flash across the screen. These have all been remastered in HD. compare them to the same scenes from the original game. colors, textures, everything was upgraded.

It's in Japanese.

Me nu speakie de Japanese

A kingdom hearts 3 final mix would be cool, but SE said that they're not making a kingdom hearts 3 final mix. Just to point this off you can never make a person think something else because people can dream anything they want you know.

I see. I was looking for anything I could find from Square Enix about their Final Mix and DLC stance, where have you sourced that from?

Nah, Nomura made us understand there will be no more Final Mixes, maybe a DLC... But I hope not...

that actually makes alot of sense i agree

First DDD hasn't had a final mix and it's a major game in the series, and second with DLCs around I think we're more likely to receive a DLC for KH3.

yeah i thought about it too... i think they'll do something to make DDD replayeble in HD version, maybe with KH3 as well... hope it comes out of Japan pretty soon tho :/

I don't think they'll make a Fm 3 sense normura should have enough time to cram EVERYTHING into the final product. But I would love a HD Dream drop distance =D

I only see dulce from now on instead of final mixes

for the last time ther wont be anymore final mixes

Okay I know a lot of people are against remastering KH 3D (not because it's a bad game) but because it halts KH3s development, however it is possible to do in a short amount of time and it very well could happen. Reasons being:

- It's only one game.

- Nothing needs to be added like voices or new cutscenes.

- The HD process is quicker than KH 1.5.

- The only thing that would need to be remade is the bottom screen gameplay into something else.

I really don't care if it's remastered or not because I already own a 3DS and KH3D.

So that's my opinion on this anyway. :P

Hopefully, Kingdom Hearts 3 will be so epic that it won't need a Final Mix.
