I'm with you on this, I wasn't really excited that he became a keyblade master but it's all good now

I'm pretty much okay with it. I was only bummed that Sora didn't become on as well.

I was annoyed at first, but he definitely deserved it more than Sora.

I think Yen Sid knew that Sora wasn't meant to be a Keyblade wielder. Sora can only wield one because Ventus is in his heart, so once Ventus is removed, Sora won't wield one anymore. Someone will have to do the right of passage on him. 

When Kingdom Hearts 3D was announced, I thought Sora and Riku both would have become Masters after the exam. When only Riku was nominated one, I was like this "O.O"But then we had Nomura's point of view about that, and it definitely makes sense

..nope, Sora only dual wield cause of Ventus. Sora won't lose the Keyblade.

When I saw Sora wasn't a Keyblade master, I started to dislike him. But, I got over it. It's funny and yet-maybe cliche`, the main protangist didn't get all the new powers, but his friend and used to be enemy, gets  all of it. But, if Sora is okay with it, and Riku realized his mistakes, it's all fine I guess.

Happier than even Sora was about it!

I honestly thought it was random that he had earned the title. But he EARNED it, and that's that.

I actually liked the idea of having Riku as a master. In my opinion, I think having him as a master would change the repetitive stories of the hero being the one who always win and get the high titles.

I knew that was going to happen. "Darkness becomes light; Light falls into darkness." I remember calling pretty much exactly what would happen and everyone on here went ape shit on me and told me how wrong I was. Once I finished the game I was like, "in all of your faces!!!"

 

But yes, I knew Riku would become Keyblade Master and Sora wouldn't. Its in the damn title for pete's sake. I believe Riku is worthy of it 100%. As strong as Sora's heart is, he still has much to learn. I think we'll see an awesome badass side to Sora in KHIII!

Well deserved. The guy's been through some sh*t.

Riku overcome his own darkness and thats what made him a perfect candidate to be Master. He accepted his fate in relying to darkness and that it can be also used for good. Riku's role in the series is crucial that Tetsuya decided to make Riku have a purpose in becoming a true master.

 

So yeah I feel he truly deserved it.

Riku most certainly deserved the title of master after besting and controlling the Darkness in his heart, going through near impossible odds to rescue his friend from the dreams (The bosses at The World that Never Was prove that point very well) and willingly entering Sora's, at this point, rather dangerous heart to save him from a Nightmare.

 

He overcame his Darkness and showed Strength of Heart. If he wasn't worthy I don't know what else he could do!

I'm just pissed that Sora didn't pass. I'm not saying Riku didn't deserve it, I just don't think he's more deserving of it that Sora is.

I don't feel anything different, because I wanted Sora to be a Keyblade Master, he deserved it. I know, Riku mastered the Darkness within him. But, c'mon... Sora saved the world twice...

I actually look forward to him being called" Master Riku".  And to honest, I'm kinda glad Riku received the title instead of Sora....that would have been way too cliche.
