Could Repliku possibly return in KHIII?

Posted

Now. This theory is a very long stretch. I don't think it will happen, but there is a possibility due to a small extract from the Kingdom Hearts Re: Chain of Memories Credits

(From 28:35 - 28:50)

We see Repliku walking alone in the corridors of Castle Oblivion when Axel appears and motions for Repliku to come with him. Could this possibly mean that Axel took Repliku back to the Castle That Never Was for storage for use in the future? Could Master Xehanort capitalize on this? Does Xemnas even know about this?

What do you guys think about this?

That scene takes place when Axel takes Repliku to kill Zexion before Riku destroys him.

Hard to say, right now, it seems like only those within Sora's heart can return (and TAV) so I don't think so, If he's in anyone's heart, he's in Riku's. But it's KH so anything is possible. I mean Sora did treat him like a normal person, even after finding out about his true nature and that kindness seems to be what will lead him to the Key to Return hearts so maybe this Key can return people that aren't in Sora's heart. Maybe it can return people in the hearts of others that Sora has strong ties to. Like people in Kairi and Riku's hearts.

Is it? Well sorry, I never knew.

No worries. like I said, the Key to Return Hearts may be able to bring back anyone Sora believes deserves to live their own life. Which is basically everyone Sora has ever met. In KH anything can happen so we can't really rule it out.

I'd like to see Repliku make a return. He could be an interesting bad guy who's either working for the Seekers of Darkness (Like I imagine Vanitas is) or he actually is a Darkness.

However, he could also be a good Anti-Hero and it would be welcome as KH doesn't have an Anti-Hero. :)

I think that was the riku clone we saw in ddd.

Wait there's a Riku clone in Dream Drop Distance?

I'm tired of clone characters who just barely qualify as their own character. It's sad he had to die, but I don't think he really needs to return.

Fool. fake Riku is dead and gone.

Play Riku's side of CoM. The replica dies by the end

None of the dead characters in ddd had to return.

True, and I believe bringing back any more excessive characters to life like Ansem the Wise or Repliku or even Eraqus would be overkill. I'm okay with characters connected to Sora and TAV coming back as long as they're handled well.

nah riku killed him in reverse rebirth

He's dead, but then again, that never really mattered in Kingdom Hearts anyways...

I wouldn't like him to come back, though. I like him, but dead should be dead.

Yes, yes there was. He shows up in Prankster's Paradise, It's not clarified, but this could possibility be the Riku Replica.

I have a theory to why this is: Riku Replica was copied by Vexen from when Riku still had traces of Xehanort (Ansem SOD), so he's a good canidate to become a Nort just by that. Also, when the doppleganger visited Riku, it could have been because Young Xehanort had already chosen him to become a member of the True Organization, and sticking him with Riku and referencing COM and the Replica was a way of foreshadowing it.

This is just a theory, however. It makes sense to me at least.

Well Xion is a puppet and she is suppose to return, so maybe open your minds a bit.

This is bloody brilliant. This smells of Nomura and his plot twists

Riku Replica dies in Re:CoM. Its possible Young Xehanort went back in time to retrieve him for the XIII darknesses but that's yet to be seen at this point in time

True. You could be dead, buried, decomposed, and forgotten for a hundred years, and they would STILL find a way to bring you back. No rest for the weary, I guess.
