Of course it would, but it's impossible, the hardware is too different. This is why they have PlayStation Now.

It hasn't really bothered me, just wish in general there were more games.

Yes. There's nothing out on the system screaming out for me to get one, especially considering that most of its games are literally just games I could get on the PS3 (And none of those games even interest me to be honest). Those teams should be working on new games for the system instead of remasters. Heck, if you're going to remaster something, at least go with a game that didn't come out a year prior.

No, because the hardware is too different. Kinda like NES-SNES-64. They have PlayStation Now there, but they want people who owned 360, Wii or even didn't buy a console from that generation to play it. It's kinda silly for some games, but for games like The Last of Us I understand.
