The new 3DS has an additional small control stick, Amiibo (NFC) support, faster, cart slot on the bottom.

Both 3DS and 3DS XL will get the upgrade.

It also fixed the problems with the 3D gimmick through the use of the camera.

I like the little control stick :-)

You can even customise it via cover plates.

Welp, time to upgrade my 3DS.

Awww I just got my blue 3DS XL now I need to upgrade :(

New models exclusive to Japan until 2015.

Nice, but the new stick looks a little to small IMO opinion. I could be wrong though.

It's supposed to be like the GameCube one I think.

Yeah. I never owned a GameCube, but I played one. I didn't like it's controller too much, but didn't really play enough games to be completely sure.

I loved Pokemon Colosseum on GameCube.

I loved Pokemon Colosseum on GameCube.

It's been so long since I played a Pokémon game. I played on N64. I loved Stadium 1 and 2. Snap was great too.

as long as owning one isnt necessary.

Up to the game developers you like.

So in order to play xenoblade on the 3DS I need to get the new model?

I already don't have money because of Nintendo games, and now I want to badly upgrade to this new 3DS. UGH!!!! Why do they do this to me!?!?!?!?

Changeable faceplates. Well it's about time!

Now to decide which will I buy once it's released overseas... Pocket size or oversized 3DS? Decisions...

I guess I'll just keep my XL unless games like Pokemon are going to be on the new model.

Yes, and some other future titles.

Thanks Sora for clearing that up, hopefully they have a deal where you trade your XL or original 3DS you get a good amount back.

Getting this because of Xenoblade and the second Circle Pad. Can't wait until I can get it!

Sniff so probably no FF Explorers. Oh well there are still alot of 3ds games to play and with the upcoming or/as.

Eh, I really don't like the color buttons, and I'm a bit iffy on how the second analogue would work.

EDIT: Well, the picture provided didn't have them, so here

The fact that the small boost in power makes it so some games will only be playable on the New 3DS kinda makes me mad. I guess I'll just wait and see how many games end up using it, though.

Hopefully the NEW 3DS only gets Wii ports as exclusives. I don't mind that, since there are many ways to play Wii games.

I doubt the rumor is true , although it would be the wisest thing to do. (Many can finally import games, looking at you Decode)
