I'm fickle about getting hyrule warriors because the game looks like a hack and slash game. I'm a little interested about the level up system in the game since it has RPG elements in the game. I'm not sure if I should get it because I might find it having a really repetitive gameplay. I just don't want to waste my money on a game that in my opinion may be very boring. I know other people are hyped for the game because it looks like the coolest spinoff game in the zelda franchise.

If you wanna get it be ready to expect something completely different

If you go in expecting the regular Zelda gameplay you won't like the game

but if you go into it with the mindset that it's a spin-off with new gameplay and familiar Zelda stuff you'll love it

I dunno, I'm not you.

I'll keep that in mind. Thanks for the tips. I may be worrying about it too much. Maybe if I get the game, I will know if I like it or not. xD

The game is full of Zelda references and Zelda fanservice(not the titties ass ones ....I mean something else) so I'm sure at least you'd love that

But in terms of gameplay, expect a Dynasty Warriors gameplay with some Zelda twists on it

I like the RPG elements that they put in the game, so that might get my hyped for Hyrule Warriors because I like any games that have RPG elements in it except if it's a traditional RPG.

It's more like a reskin of Dynasty Warriors with Zelda characters than a full-fledged Zelda game, so keep that in mind.

It's a Dynasty Warriors Zelda skin. Normally, DW isn't that interesting, but the Zelda universe makes this 100 times better. Plus it's an original story, rather than some silly twist on the ancient Chinese Dynasties.

But even in terms of Dynasty Warriors quality, HW looks like it actually shakes up the hack n' slash genre and looks more fun to play. Fanservice is a given because it's referencing the Zeldaverse, but the rest of the game looks incredible IMO, and though not a Day 1 buy for me it's still something I would definitely buy eventually.

I will skip this one, but I will defiantly get the open world Zelda game ;) coming out next year!

Well I am just cause there's alot of variety and fanservice plus there's nothing else on my WiiU till Super Smash Bros 4 so why not ya know

I'll buy it because I'm a big Zelda fan and because of the many references to previous Zelda games. The button-mashing can be a problem, but I've played One-Piece Pirate Warriors not too long ago and I enjoy it,so I'm definitely gonna enjoy Hyrule Warriors as well

I will buy it as soon as i get a WiiU. It's a new turn on the Zelda series and i will like it. so buy it that's all i have to say.

If you are willing to try something new and love the Zelda series then by all means it's worth giving a shot. If you have ever played Dynasty Warriors then you'll know what to expect and it'll be just that with a Zelda twist.

From a personal standpoint, Hyrule Warriors looks great and it'd be more up my alley than an open-world Zelda (please don't judge I'm not much of a Zelda player :P). The hack and slash gameplay is something I can get into and I've always admired the Zelda universe despite not playing many of them. I think it's a game that wouldn't hurt both Dynasty Warriors and Zelda fans to give it a try. :)

Although now I realised that the game isn't out yet outside of Japan but if you are really curious then probably watch a good bit of coverage on the games and see how the reviews fair when it comes out in the west next month :) That's really all you can do, it's a shame that they never put a demo up on the eShop or something for people to try..
