What I'm referring to are the mistranslations in the Secret Ansem Reports for the apprentice's names specifically.  I'm just curious if it has been fixed since it has always irked me that the names were incorrectly spelled.

 

I assume someone is able to find this out since some owners of the JP version of 2.5 were able to find the EN code in the game and are able to play it.

Hmph. Ansem never makes typos. His penmanship is spot-on and intricate at all times.

Who knows, maybe. But I always liked the thought of ansem being a horrid speller Ahah

Wasn't it fixed in the PAL versions? (I keep hearing it was)

I think the typos or mistranslations were that some of the organization members real names were mispelled, for example: Bleig (Braig, Xigbar), Dilin (Dilan, Xaldin), and Eleus (Eleaus, Lexaeus).

Considering they reused the old translations for KH1, I expect they did for KH2 as well.

They used the old translations for KH1 because the Ansem Reports didn't have any typos. (that I'm aware of... correct me if I'm wrong)

My bad. I was talking abput general efforts. They also used old item and ability descriptions after said elements were tweaked in the game, leading to some gaping inaccuracies.
