So, in light of the new KH3 footage that was shown at the 2.5 launch on Monday, I started thinking, in regards to the new Heartless shown, could we guess as to what new worlds might be featured in the upcoming game? Well, its worth a shot so here goes. Lets start with the heartless that stood out to me the most. There was a heartless described in the footage as being some kind of archer with a bow and arrow on its back/holding them. Of course, we don't know what it really looks like yet, but we have yet to come across a heartless type like this. Now, it is a common fact that the heartless of all the previous games have more or less been reflective of the world they are found in. There's the ghost and mummy heartless in Halloween Town, Sea creature heartless in Atlantica, African type creatures in The Savannah, and so on. So what worlds could this archer heartless belong to? There are only a few worlds I can think of that would have an archer type heartless; Robin Hood, Pocahontas, The Sword in the Stone (?) and Brave. I think, out of the four, TSITS is the most unlikely simply because we already have characters from that world already in the games. Namely Merlin. Also, I would think that a heartless from that world would be based more around magic than any carnal weapon like a bow and arrow. But then again, you never know. ^.^Next is Brave. This might be more likely since Merida's bow is one of the movie's icons. But again, like TSITS, I would expect a heartless from that world to be more centered on magic since one of the main motifs of that movie is magic. The last two worlds are Robin Hood and Pocahontas. These two have an equal chance of being the most likely world to harbor an archer heartless. The main weapon of choice for everyone in Robin Hood are bows and arrows and they are, like Brave icons of that world. The same with Pocahontas. Especially since the arrow is used as an allegory for fate/destiny in the movie's plot.Now lets move on to the gladiator/knight heartless. Judging from the descriptions of these particular heartless, there is little doubt these guys might very well belong to the Olympus Colosseum. Except for one strange feature........bull horn helmets? Those aren't exactly iconic of ancient Greece or Rome. When I think of bull horn helmets, I think of Vikings and Medieval knights. Only three worlds come to mind that could feature heartless like these; Brave, TSITS and Sleeping Beauty. I'll leave you guys to speculate on that one.The last two are the heartless with angel wings, and the firey blue heartless. The winged heartless sounds a little like one we've seen before, the angel star heartless. But this one is described as a soldier heartless with wings. The other one is said to look like a blue rhapsody with blue flames around it. For these last two, your guess is as good as mine. it could be these are just variations of the ones we've seen before and not really specific to any world in general. They could be hybrids, or they could even belong to a world/worlds not related to Disney........maybe a FF world? *Crosses fingers*  Anyway, so that's my theory on the new heartless. What do you guys think?Edit: Since we now have a more accurate description of the heartless seen in the new trailer, it looks like the horned heartless resemble the mythical Minotaurs. This falls more in line with a Greek/Roman based world. So these heartless might very well belong to the Olympus Colosseum.

Very good idea, it got me thinking........I agree for the most part. Though, I'm not that big of a Brave fan

I was not there and so did not see the footage, therefore I can only rely on the descriptions of those who went to the event. That being said, KHInsider (another credible KH fansite) did a recap of the day's events, where they also talked about the KH3 teaser. This is how they described one of the Heartless:

"...Another was an archer Heartless that appeared quite small, but donned an oversized hat and was lugging around a bow and quiver that was obviously too big for itself...".

 

To me, this is an intentional reference to Skippy from Robin Hood:

 

In the movie, Robin Hood gives Skippy a bow and arrow for his birthday, but Skippy still didn't look quite like Robin himself. So Robin gives Skippy his hat, which is obviously too big for Skippy, and his sister Tagalong even makes reference to its size.

So assuming KHInsider is telling the truth (and I believe they are), then a Robin Hood world has been all but confirmed (unless it lands on the cutting room floor, similar to Jungle Book multiple times).

Good point. I forgot about that detail. It really does sound like a Robin Hood heartless then.

I really like this theory!  Odds are we will be witness to a Robin Hood world, and if that's the case, then holy snap, that would be awesome!  It'd be awesome to see Robin Hood and Little John interacting with Sora and the gang!  And well, the Heartless Archer does seem to fit into the world of Robin Hood!  And about that horn helmed Heartless...he could be some kind of gladiator, which would make sense if it appeared in Olympus Coliseum, but well, it could be from a whole new world altogether!  And as for the beefed up Blue Rhapsody and the Soldier looking Heartless with angel wings, who knows what they might be?  A famous theory popping up around the site suggests that these two Heartless may be hybrids being created by someone.  In my opinion, it's someone from the True Organization, a.k.a, Even.  I was just talking about this with RoxSox last night!

Bull horns would fit in perfectly in OC because of the Minotaur myth.Cable Town confirmed.

Pretty sure Vexen wasn't 'norted (no yellow eyes, tanned skin or pointed ears), plus, he was a wuss, at least Demyx only pretended to be one. Not that I think either of them are among the New Org.

i agree with this theory!!

but i believe they are adding left over older movies like Robin Hood so maybe it is! or it could be a newer film like Brave. Ever since they added the newer version of Tron, im thinking that the Disney classics aren't the only ones being brought into the world of Kingdom Hearts ( . _ . ) which is good because i mean its something new for a change!

Yeah, I think a Robin Hood world is more than likely.

 

As for the knight Heartless, is it possible we might be seeing a Black Cauldron world? I haven't seen the movie in fifty-billion years, but I remember it looking fantasy Middle Ages-ish. Perhaps it could be our stand-in for The Sword in the Stone. Not to mention that it's a movie most Disney fans haven't seen or even heard of.

^ I never even thought of that! That could be true, but I somewhat doubt it. 1, that movie was a major embarrassment to Disney and still is to a degree. Disney only acknowledges that movie grudgingly because diehard Disney fans ask for it. TBC is like a bad nightmare that Disney would rather forget. 2, TBC, probably out of any other movie Disney has ever made, is the least known or talked about. Because Disney hid it for so long, not a lot of people know of or have seen it, so not a lot of people would know what this world even was if it made it into the game. 3, TBC is a DARK movie! Even darker in some cases than any other Disney movie you could find. If TBC made it into KH3, I could see a world even darker than TWTNW and TEOTW put together! I don't really think Disney would allow that. I'm quite frankly a little surprised they allowed POTC to be included! You know, un-dead pirates and all.

Robin Hood in Kingdom Hearts? Hmm I think we need the Jungle Book first, they are kind of similar

There's a possibility that The Jungle Book could happen. It was supposed to appear in BBS anyway.
