Hey everyone! How is everyone doing?

I came to realize that I forgot about Vanitas' brief appearance in Dream Drop Distance.

I always wonder if Vanitas would return in Kingdom Hearts III.

 

Do you think he will come back?

I don't know if he is a part of the 13 Seekers of Darkness but could he be one of them?

Whatever happens I'm loving this idea. 

Vanitas will probably return, but I don't think he should be one of the Thirteen Darknesses. Given that Xehanort mentions that the theoretical members of the orginal Organization were deemed unworthy for the most part, I don't understand why Vanitas would meet the bill of requirements necessary. He didn't form the X-Blade, he didn't finish off Ven, and he generally failed en masse on a regular basis.

I would like him to, we don't know who all of the Xehanorts are yet so he could be one. 

He fits perfectly to come back, and I am pretty sure that he is one of the 13 seekers of darkness. I mean he has a full pure darkness and he shouldn't be ignored in such important title. I took his appearance on KH3D as a hint for him to come back in future, same goes with Riku Replica.

And also, if any of you remember, did you ever notice that there wasn't a journal entry for Vanitas in Dream Drop Distance?  I mean, okay, sure, this probably doesn't mean anything, but couldn't there have been a slight description that said: "A mysterious entity who holds the power of darkness." or something like that?  Anyways, back to my point, I'm pretty sure Vanitas will come back, thus, the Unversed will return.  After all, he is Ventus' darkness, so Ventus will have to confront him again.  But yeah, I really hope Vanitas returns!

I believe so. Vanitas was quite a twist to the story. It sort of fits for his role since he himself was created by Xehanort. It would also make this rumor to be true because a part of Sora's heart became the darkness that pretty much separated the rest of Ventus towards his light. The end scene of BBS proves this to be true with Ventus's heart calling towards Sora, wherein created Roxas, Sora's nobody at the time of his heart being stolen. This was easily convinced due to Ventus' character design having an easy giveaway; however, when Young Xehanort explained that he would recruit followers from all reaches of time, I think he did mean he would recruit Vanitas because of his origin of creation from Master Xehanort. If so Vanitas is definitely coming back.

 

That would mean he's one of the thirteen. This would mark down: Master.X, Young.X, Xemnas, Ansem, Terra'nort', Braig, Isa, Vanitas. Eight of the thirteen confirmed. I don't see either Larxene, Marluxia, Luxord or Demyx joining this group because for all we know their hearts had light in them too. Not even the Riku Replica because he was simply a creation that Namine created with Sora's memories. Without a doubt, Vanitas is on the Xehanort train. But that remains to be seen. It's very believable though all things considered.

Maybe as a darknesseses? But maybe just something to do with getting Ventus back? Something like reuniting the other nobodys? Question marks?

Of course he will return, everything else doesn't make sense.. but hopefully NOT as one of the thirteen darkness.
